@@orangeslash1667 You take Little Mac's ground strength, you take Steve's neutral B and balance it without the collection mechanic, and you take the utility of Hsien-Ko from Darkstalkers in her strong attacks. Slap in some Avatar references, and bam, you got a good ass character.
Whoever decided Toph should be in the roster is responsible for me buying this game tomorrow. She was the one Nick rep I told myself would guarantee a day one purchase.
Yeah, she seems like a more mid to long range combatant. It also makes since that her attacks in the air aren’t that good, as she feels more comfortable on the ground where she can “see”.
She really is despite her age she often boasts she is the greatest Earthbender in the world and no one ever questions it the only one that comes to her level in Earthbending is Bumi (and it's funny that the two strongest Earthbenders in the series is a young kid/teenager and a very old man lol)
@@swayisNOThere Yeah. It's pretty much her character defining trait as she was born blind. However, thanks to some moles, she was able to "see' using Earthbending and she's very effective in battle with it
I'd say that Water could use better representation too. Yes Korra is from the water tribe, but her play style is more Avatar focused than anything. I think it'd be cool if Katara, Zuko, and even Sokka made it in.
@@belnonaodh1520 true the game did confirm DLC plus remember Nickelodeon Kart Races 2 had multiple reps in that game too. It came out almost 1 year ago from release date,October 5 to be exact, so yeah it’s not too late for new reps.
@@Violetlsdoingokay that doesn't make sense. you said personality is the biggest selling point of this game yet we dont know the face of the developers and the characters have no voices. it lacks so much personality that you even called it a melee clone with nick characters like wut
@@normalman23 I’m sure they’ll add voices once they make the necessary profit from sales. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid had no voices to begin with but the player support helped it get voices. The original voice actors, which is just top notch.
When someone asked who I thought Toph would be like I didn’t expect the answer to be Little Mac and Bayonetta with a splash of Steve. She is definitely interesting
holy crap toph is in this game. Well ill be using her the most. I wonder if this game does well if they will give them some more money to patch in some voices.
ok... So now I'm probably get a Switch, get this game and play with Toph, she has always been my favorite character of avatar and her moveset looks soooo cool!
@@eem2wavy133 What are you smoking? It has a huge fanbase before it’s even released, they’re purposely making it competitively viable, they’re adding DLC down the line. This isn’t just another crappy branded game, this is a legitimate Smash competitor.
@@coolguy082 just wait and you will see how it will die out. Once people get past the hype phase of the game ( which happens with any newly released game) that’s when we will see if the game actually will last or not. Sure the game has its fans right now and it may make some money upon release but it’s no smash contender and it certainly won’t last that long as a competitive scene. I give the game like or four or five months tops, it be a miracle if the game could truly last far longer than that but even then I don’t see the game lasting all that long anyway. The so called “hype” surrounding this game is just people memeing about being able to play the game with nick characters. Once the game comes out we will see if people actually want to play the game or meme about the game And it is another crappy smash branded game. The game definitely has potential but as of right now it just looks like a low budget smash game with some variations added in. If I had to compare it with other platform fighters it would be very lacking. Rivals of aether blows this game out of the water honestly
Out of all of the moves shown in today's showcase,I love Reptar's down smash. It's so simple, yet it's affective and it might give the opponent's a bad time
Does the Rock, Paper, Scissors clash have the same effect if the opponent hits Toph’s rocks (like losing the clash while using clay warrior from afar)?
All of Toph's strong attacks have a hitbox on her body as well. That's the part that will activate or receive any clash effects. The rock constructs aren't affected. They also don't reflect projectiles. Rather they destroy projectiles.
They should've designed her in a way where she preferred not to jump or is terrible air to air because she's basically blind when her feet leave the surface and compensate by having her oppressive when grounded... in fact it'd be cool if she made pillars elevating her on stage than floating island platforms I feel like they missed the ball on making a entirely unconventional character
Wait everyone already seen this showcase already, So does that mean that Zim and possibly the other character. People have been talking about will be showcased on Monday? Based on how Zim is in the show he's an idiot a very intelligent idiot but, still an idiot so a lot of his Irken tech and weapons will come into play along with his loveable Advance lil buddy Gir implemented in his moveset as well.
