Something that stands out in this video is that every topic has a different set of resources which is really helpful because each topic is covered best by a specific resource/site and no individual site covers *all* resources perfectly. This is really difficult to find for a beginner. Appreciate it!
The contests these days are more observation/greedy based then previous contests (i.e. the 500/600 series, where there were many DP and graph problems at C/D). I started recently and reached expert without knowing anything in DP/Graphs, so I think beginners should focus more on problem solving in observation/greedy problems. Great video nonetheless!
Thank you. This feels so good to hear. I remember starting this channel just to improve my communication skills a year ago. What a journey this has been🥰
Even u won't agree more, to solve A, B and C in div2 rounds u need just few skills : Number theory Greedy Quick observations for constructive problems Quick brute force (to simulate and catch observations)
Beautiful video. There are a lot of Indian video blogger who make video in Hindi which we foreigner don't understand. You are different from them. Thank you for making videos in English. Will you make a video on which software you use to record video? In other videos I saw you using some combination on which we, the viewer, see you, your keyboard and your screen. How do you do that? Consider making a video on that? Take love from Bangladesh.
Thanks a lot Bhai for making this video in English. I'm an international student studying abroad. Since most of the videos are in Hindi, my coding buddy who's an Arab can't understand. But now he can 💝. He's passionate about CP too
Good idea. I have recently recorded a podcast with a friend of mine who is starting a youtube channel for entrepreneurship in college. I have discussed about it there but I can consider making something for time management
Thank you for letting me to witness such an awesome content 😁 , but I just wanted to know if this is enough to reach more than 4 stars in codechef aswell 😅
Great video! Though I feel the things that you mentioned NOT TO LEARN if good for beginners and 1 and 2nd yrs. But the one's who have placements in near future should learn them right? Can you do a video on what CP topics to learn for placements which are helpful and we can practice them on CF.
Hi Priyansh, loved this video. Can you make another video on how to reach purple(candidate master) cuz there's a lot of mis-information being spread regarding the topics which we ACTUALLY have to study. Also this resources required approach would help a lot for the same. Thanks.
Priyansh is dp with bitmasks or digit dp or dp on trees required for reaching 1600 on codeforces?I am finding difficulty with these topics. Please reply.I was finding questions with these tags below 1600.Do I need to do it?And also I found out that on using a memoized solution for dp during a contest it gave mle.But in some editorials in youtube they were doing it using iterative dp with the same solution. So do i need to learn the iterative dp.
Can you please suggest which video lecture should I follow for Greedy and also for DP after watching Errichto's DP beginner videos can I be able to solve CSES 50-60% problem ?? if not then can you please suggest other video for DP .
hey priyansh i know 90%topics nad solved atleast 10-20 questions on each..but i am not improving rating like i'm still noob 1100 rated and also upsolving 1-2 que in every contest.how do i improve ??
@@PriyanshAgarwal thanks bhaiya for replying currently im trying to purchase 45 min session but order now button is not working , may be slots would be fulled can u tell me till when the issue will be resolved
How did you know which topics to learn for people below 1600 ratings have to do these topics. Is there any syllabus given anywhere? If there is any syllabus please share the link. Thanks for the video anyways.
Depends on how much you can comprehend. If you feel like you are not understanding anything after the 2nd module, that might just mean you need to practice more problems based on topics covered till module 2 and return back to the 3rd one when your level has improved. There is no need to do these topics exhaustively. You can cover how much you are able to understand.
@@feelandvibe3263 edu section on codeforces It has a course made by ITMO University which has topics like binary search , two pointers , segment trees etc.
Is this also applicable for becoming 5/6* on codechef???? Or only for codeforces????( P.s- my main language is JAVA can i do good in competitive programming?? Currently in 1st sem🙂🙂🙂❤️❤️)
@@PriyanshAgarwal pls tell somthing about my JAVA doubt?? I dont want to change to C++ for only CP, can i become 5 star on codechf/expert in CF by doing cp in Java???
@@harry-cf4ii Yes, you can do good in Java too. If you haven't been doing Java for more than 2 months you might as well switch to C++ but if you've been doing it for longer, you can stick to Java only.
@@PriyanshAgarwal When I am clicking on it then it is loading and saying this site cannot be reached. But other links are opening fine except the cp algorithm one .Did cp algorithms took down their site? Is it coming for you after clicking it. And Congrats for becoming first in kickstart . I have another question should i do hashing prefix suffix array also. I am newbie.
