This medication really helped my headaches I rarely got headaches anymore while on it! For me it didn't cause any insane amount of weight-loss but I notice my appetite was less on it. I didn't experience too much side effects I wasn't on as high of doses as people on it for seizures. I experienced no confusion either, however I had worsened anxiety but that could of been related to other meds I was on. I took mine in morning and didn't make me tired.

Why on earth do they prescribe this for weight loss I took one pill and found this video and now I'm trashing the pill! Thank u

This is the third video I've watched tonight looking for some information and answers to some questions. This was very helpful. I do still wonder though, have you heard of people complaining of a horrible sulfur-like taste with this?Excessive gas also? I havent heard that mentioned but it would be nice to know if others have experienced it as well..? Thank you so much for your time!

Was prescribed this for migraines,caused me severe anxiety.

I was prescribed this for chronic migraines. The day after my first dose, I experienced a rash on both arms and my skin burned. I also developed a sore throat and upper respiratory infection/cold. I stopped taking this medicine immediately.

My doctor prescribed me this knowing my brain has swelling I’ve had kidney stones and my right eye has so much pressure on it cause of the upper cranial hypertension i have so knowing all these problems I’m experiencing they prescribed me medication that makes my issues worse!!!

I'm on topamax for epilepsy and migraines and it's the only medication I've found to effectively control both. When I started treatment I lost 20kg/45lb in 3 months and my hair fell out in handfuls. My appetite is non-existent and I'm nearly underweight. I seemed to get a very strong weight-loss effect when I didn't need it, perhaps because of my dosage. It's unpleasant but still better than seizures everyday.

I had a incident with topamax. Have suffered with migraines most my life and did a couple dumb things with the meds. First of all was on Inderal for years and anyone who takes it knows that you build up a resistance , so you have to keep upping the dose. After abt 20 years I worked my way up to about 120 LA mg x 2. Got married to a nurse who nearly freaked when she learned how much I was taking. Told her I'd get off it cause it wasn't stopping the headaches anyway ha. So the next doc prescribed Topamax. It didn't prevent the headaches very well but noticed I was losing weight, so kept at it as I had put on some pounds in the prior years. I dropped about 40 lbs in 6 months and was certainly thin, but while at a conference I became violently ill, couldn't eat anything and had severe pain in the abdomen. For abt 2 weeks was on a diet of water and chicken broth. Turns out from losing so much weight so quickly I had a fatty liver. I'm sure both meds do good things for some folks.

I started having seizures out of nowhere about a year ago, my doctor just put me on this medication.. He has me going up on my dose today and I was soooooo scared 😱 until I came across your video 😇😇😇😇 lord I THANK YOU SO MUCH

Topamax increases insulin levels, according to materials distributed on pubmed, resulting in a short term reduction in blood glucose levels and A1C, followed by a subsequent increase in insulin resistance, and all of the health complications which come with it. Hyperglycemia, obesity, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, arterial lesions and calcification deposits, heart attack, stroke, death.

I’ve had chronic non stop severe brain pressure and pulsating every single day and second (not a headache, no pain, but discomfort) since June 18, 2022, so it’s been 20 months. I’m not lying!! This all started when I stopped taking a benzo I was prescribed for 12 years. This pressure and pulsating is so severe, I pretty much lay down all day, can not work, drive, my eyes have so much pressure and have been severely dry since June 18, 2022 and my vision has already been bad since I was born. My doctor put me on topiramate 25 mg yesterday for this condition. They said I have IIH.

My doctor prescribed this for my Tourettes, and I was concerned about the side effects on memory and concentration. Hopefully it does not affect me when I try it out. Thanks for the video!

I heard side effects can go away after a week or so. Mine aren't serious, but I could do without. Is there any truth to that?

That elevated temperature thing is not rare... It's irritating nd happens every summer... Everyone in the room is profusely sweating and you are sitting there with a low grade fever

I currently take it twice a day tablet it’s only been a few days not even a week and I take 25mg and am suppose to gradually increase weekly until I get to 75/75 but is it suppose to increase my headache pain when I take it ?

I was on this for a few years and when it worked, it was a god send. It stopped working and ive been a disaster since. I gained 80 lbs, stroke level high pressure . Miserable.

I took this medicine 9 days ago for migraines. It made me feel like I was floating on a cloud couldn’t sleep and eat. And it gave me tingles really bad all over my body and itch. It’s been almost 10 days. And the tingles and itch are not going away. How long should these side effects last?! It’s really scaring me.

First dose stopped haemoplegic migraine, 7 days in, no migraine, suppressed appetite, no other side effects. All good so far. Currently 25 mg daily working up to 50mg.

It’s worst medication…I was on the verge of losing my eyesight in couple of days due to this medication as it increased my eyes pressure.
