I wanted to do a quick "unboxing" of this bag. I couldn't find any videos on the new design of the Topo Designs Mountain Pack when I was looking to buy it and wanted to know what compartments and features are on the bag. I might make another video once I have used the bag more to give an actual review.

Have you ever flown with this bag? I'm wondering if you think it would make a good replacement for carry-on luggage.

It’s now been 4 months since you posted this video. Id like to know if you have had any further thoughts about this pack. I’m in a debate between it and the ULA dragonfly to use for a combination bag. I’ll be using the bag I get to pack all my trip supplies as carry on and to explore both urban and forested areas and want to have one bag that will pull double duty. Has the bag held up for you and do you have any thoughts of anything it has lacked for your needs? Thank you for your video!

I like the bag a lot but I found that when I have the bag mostly empty the back panel can curve and all the straps especially the front one for the hook can get annoying but I am looking to get some strap keepers to help with that!

Thanks for the detailed review! There’s not a ton of info out there on this bag, which is currently my #1 contender for a hiking day pack. You said you wouldn’t use it for technical hiking, can you elaborate on that? I plan to use it for summiting peaks as a day pack. Here in the Rockies though, that involves some technical climbs. Thanks again

I had a lot of trouble finding information on this bag as well! I think it is a great bag, but for reference I am 5'5 and I haven't been able to adjust the straps to fit me perfectly, so I definitely see it getting uncomfortable with longer days and heavy loads. I will get back to you with more feedback once I have a chance to use the bag more!

Thank you for a nice video!👍🙏 Would you say this bag is as waterresistent as the old model is sade to be? Are the zippers rubberized as in the previous model for example?

The zippers are not rubberized like the previous model but I haven't had issues with it in the rain yet!
