I love the Adam Faith voice with the contract, at the time it was said to be aimed at Leo Sayer, from talented singer to marketable object and of course he was managed by Budgie! (joke for those old enough to remember) I'm off searching for Too Many Golden Oldies which was taking a pop at Radio one playing too many golden oldies.

Just as Beach Baby is reminiscent of The Beach Boys, to me, this song makes me think of Meatloaf

I'd say so. Seems to be a dig at Ziggy Stardust. Stumbled across this one while searching for Beach Baby. Quite shocked to recognise it after so years.
