Rickfors was a fine soulful singer and was more than capable of fronting The Hollies, however short his stay turned out to be. This one is a smooth softrocker with impeccable harmonies.

one of their biggest hits in New Zealand, absolutely love this song! They keep touring our country and keep failing to include it in their set lists >:( "Too Young to Be Married" got to #1 here and wasn't a single anywhere else except for Australia, and they perform that song.... why not this?!

That's because the original singer was not singing on this song i.e. Allan Clarke. This imposter didn't last long fortunately.

That's a particularly dumb term to use. An "imposter" willfully and fraudulently impersonates someone. The facts are that Mikael Rikfors was *asked* to join the Hollies as their lead singer after Allan Clarke left the band. While I can certainly agree that Allan was an outstanding vocalist and was born to sing in The Hollies, the band made some good recordings with Mikael as well, including this one. BTW, Mikael lasted just a little shy of two years, before Allan came back to The Hollies after his solo career went nowhere. I'd advise you to choose your terms more carefully in the future, lest you be thought of as even more stupid than you presently are.

A shame The Hollies couldn't find a way to keep Rickfors in the group along with Allen Clarke. Both were outstanding vocalists.

@@michaelrochester48 I know the Hollies history very well, in fact its my all time favourite British pop band. I only meant they were progressing, taking in early 70s contemporary soft rock stylings. Sure, they did soft stuff in the 60s but SOFT ROCK really became a genre into itself in the early 70s, with such leaders as America, Bread and CSNY.
