Played Varisty Tennis for 2 years in HS up till graduation against private and college prep schools and I’ll tell ya, it’s brutal but hella fun and rewarding. Public school too. Glad 2K made a Top Spin game again and you covering it, your enthusiasm always makes it more enjoyable to watch 🫡

I played it in high school, right when Rafael Nadal (we share the same brithday) was just starting to go Pro. I clearly was more of an accurate serve-bot, while everyone else in my class were great at returns as they have far more stamina and reach than me, but could only serve underhanded.

As a former D1 college player, I am pumped to see a solid tennis game getting a little attention!! Only recommendation would be to keep it cross court, once you get a short ball play it down the line and follow it into the net and finish it with a volley. Great video, look forward to seeing more!

Great matches, you landed in India with about 63 % health and the last match you started with I think 33% percent health. Just below the 34% level for injury . Being in Australia it will be difficult to get rested for matches. So many hours to Europe, Americas . Might be better to do only one tournament a month rest up and practice , until next month . I’ve been to Korea and back about 5 times , it takes about day and half minimum to reset.

When it comes to the lob shot. If you time it right it's an awesome looking shot imo. I tend to use it when the opponent tries doing the close to the net thing.

A small tip : When in a rally you want to hit the ball cross-court dragging your oppenent wider. When he's out of position hit down the line. But love to see your playing tennis, keep it up!!

When your player starts to get tired and you want to slow the game down, try slice shot. Drop shots are mostly aimed close to the net to force him to move forward

Slice counters the top spin, lob for when they come to the net, drop shot to make them chase at the net when you have kept them on the service line.

Use groundstrokes most of the time. Top spin is a quicker shot that gets more bounce on the ball, use it for quick offensive shots. Slices are slow and curve, use them as defense to slow the game down. Lobs are for pure defense when your opponent rushes the net, only use them then. Drop shots are the opposite to lobs - a short drop when you're at the net and the opponent at the baseline, only use them then. Great vid, keep on keeping on!

The most important shot in tennis is your serve + 1. This is the first shot of the rally and sets you up for the point. Having a strong serve as well as a great follow-up shot will win you a lot of points!

a little tip with tennis, lob shots are best played when your opponent is breathing on the net, flat shot has the most power followed by top spin and the slowest is a slice shot, slice shots can be difficult to hit back as the ball usually spins after it hits the ground. I would suggest working on serving, power and forehand first and then backhand and stamina.

keep your opponents running while trying to move as little as possible. the lob shot is used for when they come up to the net. lob the ball over them.

Oh and BTW Trev. VOLLEY is when you hit the ball out of the air without it bouncing, usually when you're close to the net. So When you say "Nice Volley" when you guys hit the ball back and forth, the actual correct word you're looking for is RALLY. So its "Nice Rally"🤣🤣

When it comes to positioning, you can cheat to the left because your forehand can more easily cover the right side. Aim to be one or two steps to the left of the center

You want to be hitting mostly top spin. Those are the shots you can hit harder and put the opponent on their heels. If you are behind and need to slow the pace down that's where you hit a slice shot. Use the lob shot when the opponent is at the net if you can't pass him on the side
