How I wonder if we all were allowed to be together in your living room (a really big living room) Torahs in hand and just study on Shabbat. Shabbat Shalom family in Messiah 📜🕎🍇🥖🍷📯 🙏🏼 I wash and cut the vegetables the day before Shabbat so I can cook/grill them on Shabbat. I also marinate beef/lamb/chicken/fish in herbs/spices, the day before. We grill beef/lamb/chicken/fish on Shabbat itself because it stays nice and fresh. The same for the fruit salad for dessert. In the cold winter months we eat more stews from the crockpot. It is tastier when it is prepared the day before. Meal soups are also very tasty during the cold winter months.

Thank you for this teaching....I've been having this feeling and it has become a burden since I've come to know Yah....these restrictions and being a perfectionist was crazy(not saying we shouldn't be perfect) even having leisure time is a burden for me. Cause I was led to believe that it's wrong to have a Lil fun

I agree with you about that. I had a woman who was trying to advertise for her own ministry using that video and acting as if you went along with what happened and were somehow at fault. 😢 I'm sad she did that and she will have to answer to YHWH for it someday. 🙏🏻😢

For many years we never cooked on shabbat. We have since loosened up. Now we dont cook the "best" meals on shabbat because they are laborious. It is shabbat, and i dont feel like we should be doing unnecessary work. But if i do the laborious stuff the day before, and all i have to do is pop in the oven and push a button, i think thats fine. I dont feel convicted that thats too much work. I have even more recently cooked some eggs for breakfast etc. it only takes a few min and im not spending hours working on it. So, to me, i feel convicted when i feel like im doing unnecessary work on shabbat.

Our definition of 'work' is so different now. Lighting a fire meant looking for wood, cutting kindling, removing ash, laying a fire, and striking a spark... that is why they left a log covered in ash - all you need to do is put pre prepared wood on and blow. As for flicking a light/heating switch - no effort! I am not a rigorous observer but I can see that while the men get to rest, cooking for a 'feast' day IS labour for the women. Better to put precooked food in the oven or keep it simple.

25:26 that's exactly how it is . And the candles lit right before the start of shabbat. So the moments before shabbat are critical for preparation and then it's a day off rest relaxation and worship. The thing that many forget and skip is the "ABSTAIN FROM YOUR OWN PLEASURES " this part gets skipped often I feel.

Consider these Scriptures that kindling a fire is referring to kindling a fire of wrath, anger... Jeremiah 17:4, Srirach 28:8-11, Deuteronomy 7:4, Proverbs 26:20-21, James 3:5-6, Jeremiah 15:14. We should not kindle a fire of wrath on the Sabbath is what these Scriptures are alluding to, it seems. And also, a fire is needed to cook on all His appointed Feast days.😮

I've heard Adam talk about cooking on Sabbath several times over the years. I agree that it's ok but I wonder if he has ever spent many hours cooking a feast, serving it, and then cleaning up the mess. It's exhausting. Unless everyone in the household participates, it seems too much like a job. In fact I'm a caregiver and that's exactly what I do for pay every day. It's definitely work. Make food on "preparation day" that's what it's for

You state in the intro that "we are preparing ourselves for the return of our King of kings", while this is true to some extent, you are in error of the scriptures. So you believe in a rapture that is not taught in the scriptures, and in error as well. Why are you trying to be a jew when Christ said he came only to his people the Jews?
