Respect how they managed to transfer their studio sound to live performance sound. The first song (Admission) sounds exactly like it does on the record.
Yup. Almost wouldn't even consider them stoner, as most stoner bands just stay in the same narrow path and never experiment or use any other sounds. This is like stoner shoegaze or something wonderful.
@@bendavies9157 everyone is entitled to a opinion . You obviously haven't been around long enough to hear all Fu manchu back catalogue or see them live
Loved seeing these guys play in Oakland, CA. True wall of sound live pushing some serious sound pressures in a small venue. Really enjoy watching them, and such a tight group live :)
Love these guys. Last time they came through Tulsa they played at a mid sized venue while Garth Brooks was there doing a multi-night run and I made a couple of t-shirts that said "I'm only here for Brooks" on the front and on the back just said "...Steve".
Lived in Tampa and it’s always been amazing to see them live.....Steve’s band Floor before Torche was amazing before and Ofcourse Cavity!! An amazing musician who’s been doing his thing for a very long time
I want them to play change come live. It would be life changing. Like words can’t describe how bad I want them to play that 1 song live. If there is any clips I need to hear them.
Depends, low vocals is a shoegaze thing, bands like mbv, ringo deathstarr, and whirr all do it. It sounds like this band are at least a bit influenced by that genre, so it might be deliberate, sounds pretty good regardless
Vocal mixes in rock bands in general imo should be slightly lower than the band. I feel that’s what makes their sound cool. Their vocals are approached like another instrument and somewhat of an afterthought. It’s not the sole focus of the music like pop music.
The guitarist John Nunez mixed this session himself. So I’m sure this was exactly what him and Steve were going for. No disrespect if you’d just like em a little higher though, to each their own.
