@@kristenelaineharris He was born in Glasgow to Scottish parents - he's fully Scottish. He just learned to have an American accent to fit in at school after his family moved.
*Kiss* "Just pop it in the baking bag, gas mark 200. You'll get a lovely crispy skin. There you go dear. Join us next time on Can't Cook, Won't Cook." *runs away* Ffs Barrowman 😂😂😂
John - "Simple clean up operation. I just shat my pants. *laughing*" "Okay one more, Simple clean up operation, I canned myself.*Some more laughing*" "That was the directors fault." Director - "Cut... cut. *laughing*" "I'm so sorry *laughing*." John - "*Reading his lines* Keep going. Keep going!" Director - "*laughing* Listen Jack... *Laughing*." John - "Start again. Ready?" Director - "Go!" John - "Simple clean up operation. You are rubbish. You're fucking rubbish." I Just died laughing XD
@@mystic_mimi21 No. He gives a bit of context about this particular blooper in one of his books, the director is scottish and he was feeding John his lines for that scene because the others had gone home. But because John has a habit of speaking on his natural scottish accent to Scots, he started replying in scottish accent.
Yes! The giggling scots in a room! That would be amazing, considering they’re both really good comedians (not professionally) i’d love to see what would happen (i’m thinking the same thing as David Tennant being Catherine Tate’s English teacher)
Just pop it in the baking bag, gas mark 200. You'll get a lovely crispy skin, there you go dear join us next time on Heart Cook Book! OMG I burst out laughing when he said that! :D
Annie Boyd lol they are both natural actually he spent time growing up in the US. He switches between in the states and the UK mostly it’s off and on but agreed
The original line is basically just "It's a simple clean-up operation," but John was adding different "dirty" endings to it: the first one is "It's a simple clean-up operation: I just shat my pants!" I'm pretty sure the second one is "It's a simple clean-up operation: I gagged myself!" Basically reasons why they needed to clean something up. But then they couldn't stop laughing over it. Hope that helps a little!
That's his actual Scottish accent, or default-from-birth, Family-talk accent. The American is also his actual, learned-from-the-age-of-seven accent, so: pick and choose! (I do love a man who's comfortable with his tongue....)
I love John and Burn's headbanging in the SUV! Shame the full cast will never be together again, but I literally screamed when I found out season four had been green-lighted! Long live Torchwood!
Ha! During the part where J. Barrowman is pretending to be on a cooking show... for JUST a second there, he reminded me of Mrs. Doubtfire!! Was hysterical!
I would never get any work done around them I wouldn't be able to keep a straight face John seems like such fun and I love it when he drops into his Scottish accent!!! Spexy!!
Honestly, I spend so much time online these days that I read the description as meaning 'Trigger warning: bloopers' and I thought "Yknow, not sure if that content warning needs to be in the description, I think the fact that it contains bloopers is implied pretty clearly in the title, but good on you for covering all your bases I guess." And then I realised oh. Torchwood. The TW stands for Torchwood here. I'm an idiot.
