@@baders087 Um I don’t know really, it had some good moments and an interesting concept but was a bit messy and all over the place. It’s too different to really compare to season 1 and 2 but I’d see it as quite a bit weaker than season 3 but still okay

@erosion271 I dunno I think for the most part it’s pretty realistic I think the decisions made by the politicians is brutally realistic - the only really stupid things I can think of is that the government made the tank for the 456 to stay in for some reason and the secret service woman who was shocked at what the government was doing but should’ve known what was going on and was shown to have no trouble harming kids before

But criticising them as the series does when russell wrote a no win backed into a corner scenario is cynical hypocrisy to me. I do really like COE btw. Just don't think its a masterpiece. @@Sh23-hv7sn Okay yeah fair point I guess - they could’ve maybe done more to build up distrust between the government and Torchwood + give them more reason to really really not want what happened 30 years ago to come out increasing the motivation to kill Jack I do think it’s kinda justified in wanting the previous event gone and Jack’s the last piece standing in knowing but yeah I guess it kinda is a bit out of nowhere

Completely disagree, I would say this is pretty accurate for Torchwood, especially Season 1 and parts of Season 2. Plus this is coming from someone who loves the show. The slow motion walking along with them not really being that much of a secret organisation is very accurate to the real show. Plus I also loved the kiss and teleportation to the roof! It’s so fucking accurate!😂

Tis the Russell T Davis way; if you’re going to go ridiculous, go all out! He’s...an odd writer to say the least, when he goes serious with the writing he actually makes some pretty incredible stuff, but when he goes odd you end up with farting aliens, aliens that survive by making men orgasm themselves into disintegration, main characters standing on random rooftops...that kinda stuff.

I wouldn't say the fourth series was awful. There were bad things with it, but there was good things as well.

​@@mikeharvey2129 *SPOILERS AHEAD!* I just rewached the whole of Torchwood and S4 to me is pretty obnoxious... It's pretty obvious it's been co-developped by Americans what with the introduction of over the top action like that whirlybird that subsequently gets bazooka'd out of the air by Cooper who randomly found this thing in the trunk of a jeep, and doing a backflip over the team before crashing onto the beach. The whole story arc would've also easily fit in half the amount of epsisodes. And the whole story to begin with where jack is now mortal but the world is not makes no sense to begin with if you watch Doctor Who and thusly know why Jack keeps coming back after death. Rex getting that same "power" in the end just adds a bunch of salt to that. I mean, there are worse things in life. But It's very jarring, if you watch it immediately after S3 (the 456 story) which is absolutely superb, it just doesn't measure up in any way.

@@kevinsky86 I never said there weren't problems with it, I just found it relatively entertaining. I thought the race to find the drug for Jack was a very funny scene, for example.

I would have preferred it didn't end, though, if only so the writers had enough time to properly wrap up that storyline and move on to something else that could have righted the ship.

Miracle days was ok not as good as children of earth though
