Jon Evans on bass and Matt Chamberlin on drums deliver plain pro clinics on their instruments respectively. Outmost amazing musicians... Tori, she's beyond commenting...
tori has a bit of wolf and a bit of owl in her eyes....i guess thats why her music is so good, wise woman with strength and a bit of wildness about her
Oh I agree, I have been a fan for a long time. My daughter used to listen to her when she was younger and turned me on to her. I do appreciate her talent.
Did it really take your breath though? I mean like a big breath in? And not being able to breathe out? And did it leave you in a state of disbelief..i mean like mesmorised like you saw the ghost of Elvis in your living room? No? Well,do us a favour and stop writing 'Breathtaking' all over the Web.Fuckin Drama queen.
@@Tuie1956 ,No,I really like the comments to be fair. It's just when people use words like 'Breathtaking' and 'Mesmerizing'. Are you really sitting there struggling for breath, transfixed to your monitor? Everything has to be over hyped in this day and age. And it just pisses me right off.
Agreed. I've been listening to her music for over 15 years and I still love the subtle complexity of the piano work, boldness of lyrics, and how experimental her music is. I still remember the first time I heard Cornflake Girl. Tori Amos is a real rarity in today's music, a true artist and musician who flawlessly paints her emotion in song in a way that's transcendant. I think she's beautiful too but it's her soul, her demeanor, and her raw talent that move me most.
Idealisation of people isn't healthy, but... with someone so arresting, so brimming over in talent and incredible transfixing beauty both inside and out... it's hard not to idealise :)
I don't agree - Jon Evans does a beautiful job on this, fitting in with the 16th note timing, and complimenting Matt's drumming and Tori's piano fantastically. They performed the song during an encore of a 2007 concert in Brisbane I attended - it was a totally uplifting experience to hear how tight yet flowing the concert was, a testament to the excellent musicianship of all of them.
Amen! She put it all together for Scarlet's Walk. It takes me a while to catch up with her and I still have problems with Hunter, too. But she is constantly changing and I so respect that.
you are in for a treat.. I think I've seen her about 12 times live, even flew to florida for a weekend to see 2shows down there.. (right after 9/11...) she's absolutey amazing..

Dont pay attention to idiots. Nor to few english Kate Bushiites that come here to only write negative comments about Tori. We all know she is a great lady, a superb interpreter and an extraordinary songwriter.
These guys are so good..I mean Jon Evan- bass- and Matt Chamberlain drums/percussion....of course Tori is the center of attention but my ears are tottaly on Evans/Chamberlains swings.
Tori pretentiious or smug? No sorry don't see that.....what I do see is a gifted musician sharing her songs with us, and us all the more richer for her doing so.
@dmh497 maybe you shouldn't base your views on what you've read.... I met Tori years ago while I was working stagecrew at one of her early uk gigs. She's arguably the nicest person I met in all the years I worked in the industry. When she turned up for the gig, fresh off the train from London, she hung around chatting with me & the other guy working crew that day for at least an hour. I'll never forget how nice & down to earth she was that day. definitely not a sociopath. I'll never forget her
