Tori has more talent in her little finger than most of the pop singers out there nowadays, she is a musical genius and what I love the most is how unique she is! There's nobody out there that plays music like this.
This version is everything! Those pink pumps, that ethereal wail, slight growl at the end of every vowel and the breathiness of every note is simply divine.
One of the rare cases of a true artist in the realm of s.c. "pop-music". Actually, she doesn't deserve to be put in that category...she's her own category. Simple, modest, authentic...touching and moving yet not sentimental. An intelligent musician who heals the heart, the world. Thanks, Tori
I love her but she's nowhere close to that. any orchestra solo pianist is a million times better than her. her piano virtuosity has nothing to do with how beautiful the music is.
@@MrPiotrVyou are comparing apples with oranges. Classical solo pianists cannot improvise, compose or arrange as well as Tori can. Within her genre she is certainly the best pianist. In popular Jazz it is Jacob Collier, but in the singer songwriter genre nobody beats Tori.
Ahh I thought that's what it was about. I just found my sisters old Tori CD and poped it in my car. Now Iv'e been listning to playlists all day and its all amazing. I may be a roots & dub and hiphop guy at heart but I've now got a major soft spot for Tori.
Amazing...Im truly speechless..this performance was beyond any words..I am convinced Tori is a Goddess...a siren...a nymph...an angel.....vampire...Witch....Epic
She is so amazing... every song takes me on a ride to another world. Lucky enough to meet her at a book signing. So gracious and beautiful Love you Tori ♥
And when my hand touches myself, I can finally rest my head. And when they take from his body, I think I'll take from mine instead, Getting off, getting off while they're all downstairs.
Tori is ever so good! I first heard this song years ago on CD but it's good to see her perform. I might have to get into a bit of this "touches myself" stuff just to enter into the spirit of things....
"Getting off, Getting off, while they're all downstairs--Singing prayers--Hell sing away. He's in my pumpkin pj's. Lay your book on my chest; Feel the word, feel the word, feel the word, feel the word and feel it"
the "raspiness" is on purpose. Its a singing technique called "grit". It can be very destructive to the vocal cords. If done properly however, it can be as easy on your vocal cords as regular singing.
I do not own any copyrights to the lyrics... Icicle icicle Where are you going Where are you going Icicle icicle Where are you going I have a hiding place When spring marches in Will you keep watch for me I hear them calling Gonna lay down Gonna lay down Greeting the monster in our Easter dresses Father says bow your head like the good book says Well I think the good book is missing some pages Gonna lay down Gonna lay down And when my hand touches myself I can finally rest my head And when they say take of his body I think I'll take from mine instead Getting off Getting off While they're all downstairs Singing prayers Sing away He's in my pumpkin P.J.'s Lay your book on my chest Feel the word Feel the word Feel the word Feel the word Feel the word Feel it I could have I should have I could have flown you know I could have I should have I didn't so Icicle icicle Where are you going I have a hiding place When spring marches in Will you keep watch for me I hear them calling Gonna lay down Gonna lay down Lay down I'm gonna lay down
