I was at the show she is talking about on the LE tour. It was in Richmond VA at The Flood Zone. The audience had no idea how sick she was and the only reason we found out she was ill afterwards was there was no meet and great after the show. But it was a night I will never forget.
I came to know about Paula later on through the drama with Hutchens and then her daughter Peaches, but watching her in these Big Breakfasts interviews has really warmed me up to her.
Their facial and corporal expressions don't express that at all. Tori and Paula seemed to be comfortable with which other - they smiled at some points and the interviewer did not interrupt Amos. Some Tori fans need to stop exalting her. Sure, she is a deep person and her musical and lyrical abilities show that. I'd love to have an opportunity to talk with her! However, it does not mean that she can't talk about "secular" topics.
