Listening to him play his cast of characters was like watching my 6 and 7 year old children performing a play that they had written that same day. He forgot that he was in falsetto and then "went back" to falsetto. Then went back to a man's voice.

You should never give out any details. Get whoever to confirm what they have "on file" first. Like if it's a bank ask them to confirm your account number (they will know it if they are legit).
No bank officials I know are this rude, persuasive and persistent. He needs to go do his homework a bit more. I’d tell him to eff off in one damned second the minute he speaks to me in that tone of voice!
Apparently, it's a way to state the obviousness of the situation and some even lead into acting on it because of that (which is what the scum of the earth scammer was leading to in the conversation). At least that's what cursory Googling I've done has generally stated.
Your vulnerable sounding voice keeps this scammer on the hook. He's desparate. He won't give up even after many threats to your account security and to abandon you.

Sadly, people do fall for it. As I mentioned in the intro, this is one way they get bank accounts to use as their "Merchant Banker" accounts. They get enough info to go and open a bank account online in the person's name. It's horrible.

I love how, for the most part during the calls, you'll be playing is straight, but then you'll slip in a wonderful bon mot (which usually just goes over the scammers' heads with the speed of a supersonic jet fighter) here and there and I just bust up laughing.
