@@michaelkearns8499 Thanx alotayz .btw Chris Poland was their first lead guitarist who played on Killing Is My Busineas And Business Is Good ,an Peace Sells But Whos ...Buying
I think what really puts it up in the upper echelon for me is how much fun it must be to play. every guitarist I’ve ever seen do it looks like it’s the greatest thing they’ve ever done in their life. the solo rhythm riff of TOS is specifically made to just shred over and let the guitarist loose and I’ve never seen anyone dive into it half assed
I've only seen Marty once in my life and that was at Wacken this last summer with Megadeth. It was a big surprise for me since I never thought that would happen.
U mean as long as Metal is remembered .This solo is from a metal song not a rock song cuz most rock skngs dont have a solo these days an sound too cheesy
@@Metalody-musicOHHHHH yes! Man after my own heart. It's simple but sooo good. That chromatic intro shouldn't have been anything special but Marty being Marty made it fly smooth, exotic and emotive.
@@Metalody-music Though my favorite solos are all from Dragon's Kiss but still ... It's nearly impossible to choose though Lucretia solo eeks out the win on Tornado in the smooth emotive category... phrasing matters... You apparently love his use of arpeggios too.
@@CynHicks Marty has so many good solos. I recently re-learned the solo of symphony of destruction. Check out the guitar cover in my channel. I appreciate the feedback cheers!
Poison was the cure > lucretia > tornado of souls. My top 3 solos on the album. Overall hangar 18 is the best song imo though and has the best guitar work overall. But its like 11 solos so im not ranking them here
There's just no one who can play it like Marty himself. So smooth and clean, I don't think he even missed a single note. Also without looking which is insane lol
It’s the sour. There’s like four notes that define this solo, a lot of flash, a lot of sweet and salt but just a few specific choices to lean into the sharps/flats really stand out . Genius.
Couple of thoughts, if this was in 2023 then he is 61 in this video…that’s crazy!! He doesn’t look young but he doesn’t look 61 at all. Also, this is one if not the best Heavy Metal solo ever written. Rust in Peace was a masterpiece.
Marty isn't just the best guitarist Dave had, imo he's one of the best ever! Love his style, attitude, and how he communicates with the crowd. Dave please please please bring him back home to Megadeth already!!
I felt like for years Marty played this solo with a dark cloud over his head, like he only played it because he knew people wanted to hear it played. But recently it seems he’s rediscovered his joy for this piece and that’s great to see
