@@horrorm06 ON GOD I JUST HEARD IM SCARED AS HELL AND IM VONNA STAY UP FOR IT I SWEAR IF I HEAR SIRENS IM WAKING MY DAD AND TELLING HIM ALL THE THINGS ABOUT TORNADO IF ITS NOT MOVING ITS COMING TOWARDS U
I grew up in the St Louis metro area. Even when you knew it was test of the system, this sound made your blood run cold… you had 60 maybe 70 seconds to seek shelter.
Grew up a few hours south....never cared to much about the sirens going off, it wasn't that frequent it was real and test were monthly. Just grabbed some pillows and blanket a book and my game boy and went downstairs for a bit when I was a kid in a farm house. Hell was I was in my teens I stayed upstairs with the news on and just watched the storm out the window. Hell the last few years the only reason I left my attic room is because the dog was terrified and wanted me down stairs. 36 years in the area and have never seen or been near a tornado. My mom saw a few small ones when she was a kid though from the farms hole in a hill storm shelter, never hit the farm though.
@rush3821 It's quite enough that it doesn't bother people. It's over headphones. Now if it was over a speaker, I'd cackle and could care less lol. I live in a trailer park, it's my turn for some noise 🤣
Just once? I grew up in the Midwest and heard it every Wednesday at noon, and during the summer like 3-4x a week due to storms. It’s funny to think that so many others have never experienced this and that it’s not a thing all over the states
I'm not American (which is where I believe such sirens are used; correct me if I'm wrong), and I've never ever heard this sound at all, but I just came to this video from a Reddit thread where someone just had a gut-dropping feeling about some unknown impending disaster. He and his family got into the car, and the tornado sirens started going off. Just listening to this turned my body cold. 😦
I was under a tornado watch and then we got a warning I was terrified somehow my house didn’t get destroyed even tho there were 5 tornadoes that night in the county I live in but hearing this just gave me so many flashbacks
@@Jenna-hh3bj nah, I've heard it every Saturday and constantly during spring since I was a kid, u get used to it. I'm from oklahoma, so we don't rlly care abt tornadoes anymore lol
"The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for this area. Please head into a secure and safe location immediately. DO NOT REMAIN OUTSIDE. Remain indoors until the storm has passed."
This actually made mr so dcared idk why like it made my skin crawl. I live in Australia and we dont get tornadoes where i love so ive never heard this sound idk why it scares me so much though
I heard one about a month ago that sounded like this... it was far away but it sounded almost exactly like this one. Although, I do live in an area of Kentucky where things aren't alway up to date.
This reminds me of one day in Georgia in 2015 or 14 the world is a big tornado coming. The good thing is just a like the little things that are on the roof came off. I mean the backyard was kind of trash. We ended up moving out.
A few years ago, me and my family and a few others, and even my dog. went boating and tubing while we camped. The usual. We're hanging out, swimming, talking and whatever, and suddenly it gets really cloudy and cold, and the wind picks up a little bit. We brush it off for now, and then the siren goes off. My parents get notifications. We all got in the boat and me, my brother and cousin are already crying. We finally get to the docks and the whole thing was PACKED. It started raining, and the wind gradually got stronger. There was no tornado, but I forever remember the siren.
Okay. I clicked on this video trying to test my patience, to see how bad it really was. I have fvcking PTSD from an event that never happened to *me.* In my “past life”, you could call it. I think I might have died after hearing a siren that sounded like this. I put my headphones on and tried to listen to the whole thing, but I found myself wanting to scream at the top of my lungs, leap out my window, hide under all the blankets and tables, and rip off my ears. I actually couldn’t make it through the whole video before freaking out and throwing my headphones off.
Bro, I listen to this at night in my house on my TV. A high volume bro. Everyone in my neighborhood started panicking. They really thought it was an actual tornado.
We got a speaker and that's like sounds like that. That's a real tornado, and we are like and like everyone's here and it's like flickering tonight and I'm, it's so funny.
Bro tropical storms in my area form tornados sometimes and set these suckers off 😭 i have never been in a tornado, but my mom literally grew up in tornado alley, which is like a death wish to me but a normal Tuesday for her-
