Was monitoring IEM BOT and ABC7 News from over here in the UK. Seen it unfold on live cams right through cook county through both airports. It was a horrible sight

Awesome catch! I wasn’t able to get this one, WLS didn’t relay this one. It seems that LOT was issuing these a bit early because of the storm speed.

NWS LOT had to take cover so they let NWS Gaylord take over till they went back.

I was affected to that warning and got the accuweather message before my weather radio went off and while it was going off I got the W.E.A on my phone and The power went out a few times and came back.

(eas 1,727) My phone alarm went off and thren 5-10 seconds later the tornado sirens also did.
