I have the 54 in version - with six acres in the 'woods' - I have gone through many mowers and this is the first mower that not only saves time but does an amazing job!

I mow about 3 acres on my property. Just sold my 1 yr old Hustler Raptor 52" and bought the same Toro Titan 60" MyRide. Toro hit a home run with this model. The deck is super strong. The 24.5 toro engine is super strong. The blade tip speed cuts very nice and disperses clippings nicely. The grass chute is ingenious by using a rubber mudflap/bedmat material....virtually indestructible. The tool-less oil change is very easy. The MyRide saves on operator fatigue. Well worth $5800. Additionally, I shaved 45 mins off mowing time. I almost bought a comparable Scag for $2500 more.

You're right. They really hit a huge home run with this mower and priced it well.

Smart moce getting rid of that raptor. I owned a hustker raptor sd for 3 years and for tire of deck opening clogging up when cutting thicker damp Bermuda grass. So I sold it for 2,300. I had only paid 3,200 for it used with 20 hours on it.

I got the 42 inch with the 22HP Kohler. Tons of power!! Love the MY Ride suspension but did have to add the 1402051 Heavy-duty spring upgrade $123 on TORO online store because I weigh more than 250lbs. But this mover is AWESOME!!! Love it!!!

Great video! I run a lawn care company and find that the best way to reduce scalping is to set the anti scalping wheels to the lowest setting. Also, you can use the deck lift to lift the deck so it does not scalp went you hit uneven terrain. Try these 2 things and see how it works.
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience 3 года назад
Thank you. I moved the anti-scalping wheels to their lowest point. If I was to raise and lower the deck, my foot would be constantly moving on that pedal as my entire property is severely uneven. As an aside, I am currently testing the 2021 Titan MAX (basically an HD in a homeowner package). We will have a video on it in a few months.

i can verify that my experience is very similar(i have the 60" deck with 25hrs). i also have varying type terrain. so far so good. orchard's, 100yrd golf hole,100yrd rifle range and 125yrd RC aircraft runway. the Toro Titan has preformed great so far. my only gripe is a front and rear utility light kit should have come standard at this price point for late fall mowers
@CountryLivingExperience

Awesome. I agree about the light kit. That would be a great value add. Your property sounds like a ton of fun.

I purchased a new 60" Titan w/ 0hrs & MyRide suspension in June 2020 from a dealer. It did not come with a drive fluid reservoir to monitor fluid loss, just a filler tube on each side. It did not come with a tachometer to help monitor engine rpm during the break- in procedure. To not void the warranty i had to have the dealer add a tach to the console. The high lift blades on it are not the solid type ( they have a large round notch in them ). I am sure they will bend if i hit something with them. The dealer said that anyone putting solid high lift blades on it will void the warranty. I am definitely sold on the MyRide suspension. My back is wrecked and it is no longer painful to mow the lawn. My lawn is just like yours, and yes i also have some scalp areas, but cutting my mowing time by 30 minutes more than makes up for it. I would like to have headlights on it, but don't want to have to pay the dealer to put them on. Does your mower have any of these things on it?
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience 3 года назад
None of the things you mentioned are standard on that model. You have to buy a different model to obtain a tach, fluid res, headlights, etc. Mine obviously does not have those. See if any of their professional z-master models.

I have mowed my place 3 times around 5 acres and let me tell ya that seat system is amazingly medical friendly. I have had colon cancer and before when riding a direct mount have to stop after 1/2 use with this mower I can mow about all of my place not even hurt. Only thing I have found if you use super hi lift blades it will sling 3 times the size of the deck.

Another great example of bigger is not always better. I have a 140 acre farm and front yard is 7 acres, with sod Zoysia around the house, and mixture of fescue, dallis, crab and gamma grass everywhere else. I use a 60" john deere mower and like CLE, it scalps the hell out of some areas, and cuts uneven on slight grades - terrible deck choice for uneven ground. A 48 inch deck is perfect for cut quality, agility around the house and trees, and less expensive. The difference in cutting time is acceptable when comparing the cut quality. I now own a Toro Z2000 HDX.

@CountryLivingExperience 4 года назад
Absolutely. Great comment!
@harolddenton6031
@harolddenton6031 3 года назад
I always preferred to own zero turn mowers with 52 to 54" wide cutting decks which most definitely cut down on scalping cutting incidents. Plus you can get into tighter landscaped areas using smaller them smaller 52 or 54" cutting decks. The 60" to 62" cutting decks are just good for cutting more wide open flatter terrain properties.

@@CountryLivingExperience I bought the Toro Titan My ride 60 in based on your reviews and I friggin love this mower. Full disclosure I am a master technician at a country club in Az that uses Toro equipment exclusively. So I am Biased towards Toro equipment. I am 21 years Trained in Toro equipment. But folks need to understand that Toro is very serious about their engineering. I go to their training in Minnesota every couple years. They put so much research into the development of their mowers above any other manufacturers. But thats why they are superior. I have to say it cut my mowing time in half and it far exceeds the craftsman deck mower I was using to mow my 2.5 acres.

I'm considering the 54" Titan MyRide. Not sure if I should wait until Toro release the 2021 range and see if they make more improvements and upgrades to the current 2020 model. I hear they will be offering the Kohler 27HP motor over the Toro 24.5 HP. That's all I know. Does anyone else know anything more or will they just be identical to the current series ??
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience 3 года назад
They are identical except for the new additional model. It actually has a 26hp Kohler and it is extremely powerful. It also has the HD 2000 series frame.

I have to say... after watching your vid I decided to pull the trigger on one of these! I got the exact mower in this vid (Titan MyRide with the 60" deck) I just purchased an 8 acre property that is already cleared and fenced... with LOTs of mature hardwood and pine trees in the mix (Silvopasture). Lots of big gnarly roots and rough fields will be getting mowed. It is still in the trailer outside and about to get brought to the new property this afternoon. I look forward to using it! However, I may get a second set of mowers, known as livestock, to help cut 1/2 of the property for me. For now I will try and get the grasses growing again (been overgrazed) and wait a while for any pests or diseases to die off for a season or two. Thanks!!!

Myride was awesome. Deck cutting was awesome. Timecutter hydros not so much I had to sell it with 40 hours on it and after going thru a set of hydros I had to rethink my next purchase. I wished my Toro experience would have went better but I should have looked at Toro's other mowers and went with either a Titan or z master for my needs
@CountryLivingExperience
@CountryLivingExperience 4 года назад
Wasn't the mower still under warranty? Maybe you just got a bad set of hydros. You're right, the Titan or Zmaster may have been better as they have a beefier serviceable hydro.

Great review. Lots of useful information. Looking to replace my 13 year old Timecutter Z5030 that has been used to mow my yard that used to be cattle pasture which is very uneven and bumpy. The old machine has been great but looking to upgrade to 60" and softer ride. My main question for those that own one how much does the deck stick out on the left side past the wheels? Looking for something that has enough offset to get under my pine trees more.

Mate, I just took delivery of a 2022 Toro Titan 54 inch MyRIDE yesterday and have done 1.5 hrs. My issue is it seems slow compared to my old TimeCutter. I GPS tracked it and it is only doing 9kph (5.5mph) this seems slow, have you heard of any issues with this model? I've got the Toro Rep. coming out next week have look at it. Yours seems to be quick, based on your data. Any info you have, would be much appreciated. Thanks for your time. By the way, I'm in Australia.

You're welcome. The Quest is a bit slower but has the same power. Although, it has a lower blade tip speed which is why it does not cut the super heavy stuff as well as the Titan. That Titan is holds more gas and is faster which helps me get the job done quicker.

Toro has nothing to do with scalping undulation. It's simply deck size. You went from a 50 "straight edge" to a 60. If you had a 100" deck, it would do it worse. As an operator, find the different undulations and mow along it accordingly.

I takes me an hour 25 to do 2 acres and lots of obstacles with my 60 inch deck, mowing wide open in all the open areas. You must have more wide open spaces and fewer obstacles. My yard requires at least 3.0 inches to prevent scalping and wheels in the bottom hole. Cub cadet ultima zt3 60. Zt3100 hydros and 24 hp kawasaki fs730v. Good review. The titan looks pretty awesome. I put a seat suspension on mine and adjusted my front suspension lighter. I'm floating now too.

Mine lasted 7 hours before it started leaking oil. Toro didn’t really care about making it right. Dealer stuffed a seal on the crank and sprayed it down with carb cleaner. Left lots of oil all over the undercarriage and it still leaked. Don’t waste your money. Buy something else. Run, don’t walk from TORO. No support, poor build quality and prone to leak. I so regret buying this piece of junk.

Roll the property that dip cut on a angle easy fix or whip some dirt and re-seed it. No way smaller deck thats the opposite of what you need for a big property. Remember the areas and hit it from a different angle and resume cutting your normal paths easy fix. And when you go thru tall tall stuff go slow no rush. Thats all i can give as tips most of the time if you have issues change cut patterns is all . You can also roll the yard and fill low spots if there ralley bad or a simple little flag and hey im hitting that are from a angle quick then resuming normal pattern . I usually will hit it in a x . With a big deck a smaller rider is great for ditches ect.
