Thank you for your clear explanation. I tore down my carburetor and cleaned all the parts. Now it works like new. My issue was that it would idle fine but it stalled when I opened the choke. I figured it was something to do with the fuel. I also did use my air nozzle to blow out all of the lines and openings in the carb. You inspired me to take on the project. So glad I saw your great video. Thank you!

One thing I did noticed that when I had my toro hanging on the wall it would drip gas so I never hag it no more just keep it flat upright on the garage. Hey, this model does have at least 1 carb adjustment screw! Or it does if we have the same trimmer (I think we do). Steve's Small Engine saloon details how to access it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tlsVcCdzaoA.html Start watching at about 5:00. I only found the screw that goes down the middle of the barrel, and I treated it like a high -speed screw (even though Steve says it's the low-speed on his model). I had good results tuning it. I did have to remove the white plastic plug Steve mentioned.

One other thing: the RPMs never dropped as I cranked the screw out. It would just run poorly (and eventually not run) at idle as I backed it further out. I found my sweet spot just by checking how good the throttle response is. For me, that was 3.5 turns out (from fully "tightened" or seated).
