Great machine... had one delivered new a few decades ago and it's still a reliable mower. Other than oil changes and routine battery replacements, it's been trouble free. The mower deck detach design is simple genius. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the video, clean 314! My neighbor had one and got a new tractor so he gave it to me today, it has the deck and the front blade. I just put the blade on for winter. I'll go through it in the spring but I can see it's a very well made (USA) machine. Should be fun to play with.
Ain't gonna happen. Nobody will cough up the money for a "Tractor" quality machine anymore. Disposable, home center grade crap is the new norm. And, those POS, toy mowers are still expensive. Imagine the price for a real machine!
Looks like a 96 or 97 . 1986 toro took over. Ya gotta be real careful when it's running + u climb on . I get on from the left side cause if u get on from the right and hit the gear shift, you'll be in high gear + it will jump! Not good. Anyway they are beautiful machines + built rugged + with a little TLC they run forever. By a strange way i got 4 . I do have a 1995 314- 8 speed like u.So your machine looks in great condition + good luck. Thanks for doin' the video. It keeps our beloved Wheel Horse alive!
@ruslanginiyatullin9582 if you buy old John deere like model 110 they had manual gears. The only new lawn tractors that offer manual shifting is the entry level craftsman lawn tractors, and Troy built pony. They are like 1,500 bucks brand new and have a seven speed manual transmission. But they are light duty, not designed to tow more than 500lbs.
