A 4K Toronto walk through Riverdale that starts at Broadview Station and heads south past Riverdale park and the amazing skyline view. I also head past the Bain Co-op apartments and the former home of Gord Downie from the Tragically Hip who lived on Albermarle Avenue. Recorded on the morning of Friday, June 4, 2021.

Lived on Broadview north of “The Danny” from 1940 to 1960, so, I have many memories of this area. Used to ski down the hills of Riverdale Park from the Broadview side as a child. We had so much freedom to roam when I was a child. Thank you for letting me see my old ‘haunts’ in Toronto.❤️

South of the Danf.the New Yorker bar and restaurant, gone. The RBC is gone, the flowershop too? The antique dealer's sign is gone. I am old and have said many goodbye's to friends and family at Bridgepoint. I used to walk up Broadview to the New Yorker and have a few beers. The owner knew when I walked in, someone passed over the rainbow bridge. Other than that I always and still do enjoy the area. Thanks for the video. I had no idea of the changes.

I grew up in that area east riverdale park was a chemical dump in the early 60s they backed filled and made into a park and put runing track on top and you cross the walking bridge and go to the zoo, our house back onto the park .

Johnny, amazing, amazing video! I used to get off at the Broadview Station and take the streetcar to Eastdale Vocational School. In the past few years, I have re-visited this beautiful and desirable neighbourhood in Toronto and now that I know that Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip lived in this area my daughter will be thrilled! Wonderful walk. My Mom grew up at 60 Hampton Ave. Haven't seen the house for over 50 years. Seeing this brought back some memories of the hood. It's definitely changed as it's gotten more and more upscale. 2 Million dollar homes will do that to an area that used be on the low end of middle class. Well done JS. Keep the vids coming.
