Just found your channel recently… great videos, thanks! 🙏 Going to Toronto for first time ever in a couple weeks, and your videos are so much better than the standard tourism videos. Much more interesting than those, and were learning a lot about the lay of the land and the history! 👏 👏 👏

Great to find a RU-vid channel that covers Toronto history. Oddly enough I have seen some of the city's history on other channels like the History Guy and .I found out. I am a seasonal resident on Center Island living on a boat at the marina. I got interested in the history of the marina itself but could not find anything online. But I discovered that the City's website has a page with aerial photographs of the city from 1942 till the 1990's. It shows the progression of the 10 years it took to build the Toronto Island Marina. It was one of several centenary projects. Centerville amusement park was also another centenary project opening in 1967 with the marina. Maybe you could do some stories on what other centenary projects in Toronto.

They have some markers on the ground in the distillary district where the shoreline used to be!

I grew up in this city- --in cabbage town. In the 50ies/60ies lake Ontario was our garbage dump. Before Leslie fill.

Likely some American (or Americans) involved in the misspelling of harbour!

I have noticed in Florida the spelling "Harbour" being used.

Congratulations, you made it up the Baldwin Steps. You get a note from the mayor.😊

@captainjoshuagleiberman2778 - What's the note from the mayor? She's going to spend 12 Million $ to change the name to Ashanti Steps?

So, what does it say about Toronto that it keeps pushing it's shoreline? Is it a smart way to create the useful space we need with our trash, or is this as bad as other urban sprawl? Or is there some other motivation going on here that I'm missing?

I believe the Harbour Commission building was designed by an American and the spelling mistake was made by him.

I highly recommend changing your music. It feels like I’m watching the movie Napoleon dynamite. But nice job providing information!
