I went to the Toronto Vintage Clothing show this past weekend and had the best time of my life. If you've been following me for a while you know how much I love the vintage show... its my Christmas. It's also where I buy the biggest bulk of my vintage clothing. The Toronto vintage clothing show is Canadas largest vintage show with 130 vendors. This is probably the show where I've found the most 1930s and 1940s pieces...and as you can see from the haul I sort of lost control.....So there will be no more shopping for me for a few months LOL. I am CUT OFF haha. However I hope you guys enjoy this video ! I had so much fun shopping and meeting a few of you guys (which is probably my favourite part!) OMG!! the green dress is very elegant. I think it is absolutely beautiful on you. It fits like a dream. with 30's heels, a handbag or clutch and a gorgeous hat ... AMAZING !! You will not regret that outfit if you wear it to a fancy event or dinner date. It is a Knockout!! Get a Napier gold necklace. It is Femme Fatale Hollywood Regency Glamourous.

I love that green matching set on you! I think it's perfect for fall/winter with a cute black hat and maybe you can add a black belt with it to break up the pattern! Or you can even wear them separately, you don't have to wear them together☺️ Idk if you already styled it this way lol, had to stop the video to comment 💖 Love your content!

Hahah tbh I don't treat them any differently, these vintage pieces are my regular clothes. I just hand wash the delicate pieces and take wool to the dry cleaners. The same as I would with "modern" clothes. The only difference would be that I freeze anything I buy second hand for 1-2 weeks.

The boxy blouse, white/red striped, cream/blue and blue with stars dresses are my favourite. The green one is like a second skin. What an incredible fit it has. Absolutely stunning. The under dresses are perfect too.

Wow! This TVCS was absolutely bursting at the seams with goodies! It was so overwhelming; I don't know how you were able to look at pieces, try on dresses, AND film for us! Definitely one of the biggest hauls ever. 😂 I wanted to comment on every single piece you bought! Oh the red and white striped dress, oh the cream and blue dress, oh that cotton apricot-colored robe! 🩷🩷🩷 😂 You deserve a round of applause for no black bags this time! 👏👏👏👏👏👏 I don't know where you're going to keep all these gems, but we know you'll make it work. 😉

Hahaha it was a busy day ! I also posted a reel on instagram around lunch time on the first day 🙈 I basically spend the entire weekend there. I'm so happy you liked the pieces, especially the fact that there are NO black handbags lol. I haven't figured out where to store them yet..... send help lol

Wow the vintage show was puff sleeve heaven! My favorites of the things that you got were the red & white striped dress (looks very beachy or Candy Striper!) and the cream & blue dress with the big blue bow. That ensemble is a dream! I think the green & black set would look great with a black belt and hat, try accessorizing it and see if that brings it all together. I'm so glad you had fun both days and thanks for sharing it with us!

I liked everything you showed us! You had a slip on at the show I hope you got it, it was pretty and I'm so glad the pink robe is long . I was picturing it even dragging on the floor at the back !❤ You styled the mauve dress well. I liked the green skirt of the two piece but found the top strange. Think of it as a challenge to style.☺️💞

You can never have too many slips... I totally agree! You scored on dresses! The cream with blue bow, red and white stripe, navy with red stars are very lovely. I'm a sucker for green with black so i really liked that one too! With black accessories you'll look kinda vintage goth which is perfect for October 💚🖤 What is your budget for a dress? What would be your absolute limit for pricing?? I've never bought an actual true vintage dress. Just curious 🤷🏻‍♀️

@@CarePinglo -- I was timid and had to limit myself otherwise I feared I'd buy everything! haha. In the end I only bought a scarf. But that's because I've been saving for Scriptus (the Toronto pen show) instead, which is at the end of October. If you've yet to get acquainted with vintage writing instruments, I'd recommend it! :)

WOW! You had so many great finds. I think my favorites are the cream dress with light-blue bow and the navy-blue dress with red stars. Also, I think the green and black skirt and top looked great. I've been following your vintage journey for a while and always look forward to seeing your shopping hauls and adventures. I've considered going into vintage fashion as a career for the last year. I know what you do is different, but I wondered if you might know anything about it? Vintage life, history, and retro fashion are some of my greatest passions, but I don't know if they could lead to any type of viable profession. I understand if you can't help me or respond. I'm not Carolina, but my advice would be to learn the history of the eras you're interested in because fashion sits in a broader context. Learn the economics/politics/events and tech advancements of those decades, search out clothing catalogs and what the developing materials feel like so you can identify them and tell them apart, which will help you date pieces, or tell how rare they are, etc. Start with a history (or fashion history) book and go where your interests take you from there. Going into a career in anything means you should be knowledgable in that area. An established fashion vlogger can only show you so much, you have to have your own foundation of knowledge to build on. Don't be daunted by what I've said; if you're passionate about something then studying it is fun. :) Good luck on your journey.

@Ema21x Thank you, I appreciate your advice! Conduct research on the decades in wholes? (1950's politics/fashion/pop culture/economics/tech/events/crime, etc, for example?). I should have clarified, though. I'm more interested in vintage-inspired fashion design than in being a curator or fashion historian (both are appealing, but require too much education and people interaction than I'd like---introvert here). I already have a decent amount of knowledge on specific decades, specifically the 1980's-1990's. I love reading about facts on previous eras, not so much on politics and economics, but I could do with that.

@@whimsicalsky48 -- If you feel your background knowledge is enough, then think about what service or product you can provide to consumers or other businesses. How do you turn your passion into something people will pay for? Carving out that niche for yourself is a very individual choice. But along the way, the learning never stops! ;) You seem young/early in your journey, so maybe consult your school counsellor for more substantive conversations about the work/startup process that entrepreneurship entails (or they may point you toward your local art/fashion design college) because you seem to be asking bigger questions than what an internet comment section can help you with.

Haha I normally don't talk about prices because they are so varied, and no one else can buy the same item anyway (since there is only one). It also feels a bit odd showing the price on the screen. I would rather the emphasis be on the item not the price
