Got my TC500 installed on my Sting R today using this vid! I didn't have any trouble with the aluminum brackets. I only had a chance to test the default settings and make sure everything worked, before it started raining. Can't wait to crank it up and play with it more! Easy install and money well spent - thanks for the vid guys hope to see more soon. What I did not expect to like so much was the regen assisted braking! I have brake upgrades planned but this seems like an excellent feature to help save your pads from wearing as much in the meantime. In your opinion should one get the Torp thumb throttle brake regen doohickey also or is that $75 better spent elsewhere? I was shocked at how strong the brakes felt after the Torp install. I guess the advantage of the thumb regen is that it doesn't use the pads at all when braking? Just seems like it doesn't slow you down as fast in the vids I've seen, but maybe that's customizable so that it can bring you to a stop quickly like the regular brakes do. I can see a 72V battery and Sotion motor in my future lol
Thank you! Does it work in same plug&play manner with the square display in the center of handlebars? I have road legal version so looking to maintain everything functional such as turn signals and break light. Would be great if this could be mentioned in future videos as well. Great job!
Quick question - Just installed the torp tc500 on my sting r and I see that the field weakening turns red now after going past 100 on the slider, not 80 like it was in your video. Do you know why? Or if it’s still sub-optimal to go past 80 or why torp changed it? Thanks guys love your vids.
My BMS also keeps tripping and cutting power with the same settings as you are using. I updated the firmware to 1.9 Beta 2 and played with every setting still does it. Any ideas?
