I fit a Torsen in my gearbox, so I take this opportunity to change all the bearings, the oil seals and the clutch release bearing. ✅ Subscribe! ✅😎
It wasn't originally planned, but I challenged myself to build one for fun and to better understand how the gearbox works. The reliability and performance is a cut above the original one in the PK4018 boxes which is GKN brand. With the video and photo shoots, I spent more than 40 hours on it, I had 250 GB of photos / videos so I had to make choices on the steps for editing the video. Feel free to ask questions, I'm not a pro but if I can answer I would. Obviously, the next video, will be on the assembly of the gearbox on the car and the test so don't forget to subscribe to not miss anything !!
In the end, it's not infeasible but it's just very long and there are a lot of head-to-head steps so you shouldn't give up and take your time.
The gearbox on which I mounted the Torsen was the original gearbox of my car which had been sleeping in the garage for a long time so I did it without pressure.
After this video, the distribution will seem very easy to you :)
