I’d rather see parallel raids in the same difficulty range as AQ40 and Naxx than another vertical power level increase. More content is more better though so I’ll give it shot.
I absolutely agree here. I would like to see a 20man raid that's higher than AQ20 but lower than naxx. Then a new 40 man raid that is equal tier to Naxx. With the gear provided from this new raid to help off-specs, and to be very different from Naxx gear while similar in power.
Ya know, this may be a controversial opinion but I think before they put any effort and work on a tier 4 raid they should first do a community study and see if the population wants a tier 4 raid in the first place. Naxxramas is enough of an endeavour, a tier 4 raid will have to be more expensive, more time consuming AND more rewarding. Personally I can say I don't want none of those. Too much vertical progression is against the initial theme of turtle wow. Either way if this vertical progression is too easy (welfare epics better than naxx gear and easier to get) or too hard (painful slog meant for hardcore players implemented into a server with casual playerbase). I think this opinion is quiet popular as well, most people I talked to about this are very much against a full scale t4 raid.
The raids are really easy on Turtle. I was in Delusional before it broke up. MC was really really easy. No FR needed...no one used pots...all undergeared. MC was more fun in Vanilla.
I agree in some regards. I like to think of Turtle WoW, or any wow version, like a tree. Turtle wow is like a short squat hedge, groomed to grow out horizontally with leaves all over. Retail is like a tall redwood, massive and tall with leaves only at the top. So while I think vertical growth is not the best I at least like to think it will allow there to be more growth outwards, so long as there is content underneath it to support it. Otherwise it'll end up like retail.
@@DVaz-v6k What would you think of making the current raids harder, with new mechanics, maybe new bosses etc.? To compensate for modern players being better than 2004-players
Well I think the framework is there already with WB's being removed. The thing is, the designers WANT to make something new. I can respect that at least. There are only so many times you can do the same stuff before it gets kinda boring, but its not the worst idea.
@@VrogragFishslayer Would it be possible to create new stats, or maybe import stats for later expansions? With more stats, it's possible to create more gear sets/gear combinations without having to up the tiers. But it would require a lot of work.
I'd really like to see wood cutter and carpenter as new professions. Carpenter could craft shields, bows, arrows, staves, wands, some trinkets and maybe some ingredients for other professions.
I dig the oldschool news reporting. I remember a ton of vids like this back in the day lol. I haven't played in like... a year lol. It got too busy for my blood. Hows the server? Did they open a HC server yet? I wish they would lol. My Chad, Gnome Mage is ready to grace the presence of those lucky enough to find themselves in my group.
Server is doing well, the only new server is a PvP server, it's a lot less busy than it was this summer. Hope you're having fun, whatever you're doing. :-)
Bgs are already on life support because 1/3 of the server raids and has huge gear advantage if you add another tier it will be all over. In actual vanilla it didn't matter because about 1% of people were on naxx.
Thanks for the Tel'Abim coverage! One note - I noticed you mentioned that it was a month old, but I believe its only been out for two weeks and three days. Were you just rounding up?
As a shaman main whos been on tel'abim the past month, the prospect of buying extra slots is so HYPE I have so many specs I could do haha, could easily make 4! Thats exciting
I'm cool with the GMs taking their 600g back, but I had an extra 200g taken the day after the patch. This left me with about 50g across my account and in a hurry to farm enough to simply raid this week.
Here's hoping you'll hear about Kor'Kron killing the city leaders at some point too =) we're not sweating as hard to hit max but we'll have the numbers for war when the time comes! We've already taken over the gryphon rider in storm wind for a time!
I love these news, I've been around on and off, but still in low levels. What's new with stonescale eel spawn points? You mentioned they changed something. Thanks.
Grunt would like to inform that the market has quite a decent price for fire elemental materials as well. Its not huge, but easy to farm, and easy to sell.
@@VrogragFishslayer so, any ideas to compensate? my guildmates are struggling hard on that, we want to progress towards naxx, but ppl are getting scared off due to the even higher amount of farmtime between the raids; btw. ist the S&V Team maybe including Plaguebloom to the weekly Market Analysis?
Adding a new stock to the SNV takes a LONG time and herbalism is already over represented on it. So it's unlikely that it'll happen. As far as what to do, not much can be done. Supply is plentiful, just super overpriced by market manipulators. IDK how old your guild is, but reaching out to other guilds could help to try and source materials at discounts. There is a slow but instanced elemental earth farm in Maradon that might help some. Plaguebloom... yeah that's a tough one. I'd make sure that people in your guild are advocating in the forums for something to be done. Once upon a time black lotus had vanilla behavior, but when server pop got close to 2k, Blotus was very hard to find, and the team made lotus drop off of high level herbs to compensate, so change isn't out of the realm of possibility. Also be willing to be frugal when your raid team can afford it. 2% crit is a big deal, but if the team's DPS is good enough for the majority of a raid, then consider settling on greater agility for instance. Wishing you and your team all the best!
Let's try to refrain from calling Torta by that name. She's gone on record multiple times denying any connection to Shenna and no verifiable proof has been brought forward. Perpetuating that rumor is akin to harassment, so in general I ask people in my community to not participate.
Which is why it was one of the first things I asked about in my interview. It helps that I have a way to still be in touch with Torta through the radio team software, but I still see her working on the project so I think it's more to save herself the headache of so many people bugging her.
If you watch the interview I think Akalix gives a pretty good response to that. It's more deep than just Discord giving a headache. It's about allowing the people who's role is to do PR do PR and there are other mitigating factors as well.
While I like the idea of a new profession, I would much rather then give professions another pass. Give shields to blacksmiths, give bows and wands/staves to enchanters, arrows to engies. I worry adding another profession would add bloat.
My understanding is that the new profession is designed to fit in gaps where there isn't profession stuff already. IDK what that means but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
