Wowww. Another beautiful beach! I love beach walking. Love that water color. Dinner looked fantastic too. Love anything with bleu cheese. What a sunset!
This beach was amazing and stayed relatively uncrowded. We loved this island - the locals were so nice! Dinner was so good & yes those views off the ship never get old!
Great video, loved the sunset and ship at night. I too cringed and then laughed when I saw the campfire unattended.....safety is engrained in us and that's a good thing! And, yes, I agree that a game called exploding kittens (if I understood correctly) is not something I would want as a game.
We almost did an excursion there! The only reason we didn't is this was our first cruise and we didn't know if Brian would get sick on a smaller boat (we now know he will not) since he's prone to motion sickness on some rides. We absolutely loved the Virgin Islands! You have a beautiful home!
@@robincarroll2826 Wow that's awesome!! We have 3 more cruises booked with Celebrity right now - two on the Equinox and one on the Apex! We hope you have a wonderful cruise in May!
We did not watch any of the full show productions but did watch part of one and it was fantastic - just like a broadway style production! I put some clips of it in this video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EnWUJEVZNNs.html Tomorrow we'll have a full review of this cruise ship and we'll be going on another cruise early next year and will of course have more videos from that trip too!
This is to funny Carmen and Brian. My wife Claudine and I are going on Equinox on May 21st for 8 nights. We have watched all your videos and realized you live in Myrtle Beach too. We're down in Murrells Inlet. Lol small world. We definitely will cruise like u guys do. The chill way on the islands and of course sipping on Don Julio / High Gravity Microbrews! Hope to see u around town one day. Any new tips for us would be appreciated. Have a great Easter Weekend U2!
That is funny Jimmy - small world! We love the Equinox. We've been on her 3 times now and once on the Reflection. They are similar ships but we prefer the Equinox. 8 nights sounds awesome! The nice thing about Celebrity is unlike other cruise lines you don't have to worry about much - like reserving shows etc. We love the Oceanview Bar, Sunset Bar (when it's not too smoky) and of course Craft Social for the beers. We do like anytime dining or whatever they call it, but that's just personal preference. We ended up on our most recent cruise spending most of our time at the buffet instead of the main dining room. Their buffet is amazing! Have a great time!
@@CarmenandBrian thank u so much! One last question. They say all tips are included for bartenders. I've been in service industry my whole idea. Did u throw anyone a couple extra bucks? Just trying to figure everything out. The more that stays in safe the more relaxed I'll be. I'm in food ses and high pressure/stress job. Need this break bad with no stress.
@@23hacksaw On the last day we typically tip the following people extra assuming great service: room steward, head waiter in MDR, assistant waiter in MDR, any stand out bar tenders. I prefer giving them a lump sum at the end rather than carrying cash around the entire trip.
@@CarmenandBrian that's just what I needed to know! Thank u so much. Happy Easter Weekend and thanks for all the videos u did. Big help planning our trip.
Love this video! Thank you for sharing! I will be going to Tortola on my 2021 cruise and have never been before. Your video of Cane Garden Bay sold me on where we (wife and I) will be going when we get there. How far a taxi drive was it from the cruise port and approx. how much time did it take you to get to Cane Garden Bay?
I think you will love Tortola! It was Brian's favorite port and I'm not sure I can pick a favorite but I loved it too! I honestly didn't time it and the scenery was so amazing it went by fast but I would guess 15-20 minutes each way. However, we got to the port at 7 a.m. so there was no traffic. Later in the morning it might be different.
Hi Carmen and Brian, besides Cane Garden Bay, are there any other beaches on Tortola that are worth visiting, with clear, calm, shallow water, and beach activities/rentals? thanks
Thanks! No it was super easy to get a taxi because they were constantly dropping more people off and taking people back. But also all of the bars there could call you a taxi if there wasn’t one readily available.
Thank you! This is still my favorite port of all time! The taxi drivers do not wait but when we were there, there was a steady stream of them coming and going to drop more people off. Also there are several places there with food/drink/chair rentals and I'm sure they could call you a taxi. All of that said, we were there before the shut down so things could be different now. Have a great time!
Me and the wife go to Myrtle beach twice a year but after watching ur cruise videos I think we are going on a cruise next year do the have a place in SC to board a cruise
Yes Charleston, SC is a cruise port. There are limited cruise lines there. The biggest one is Carnival. We haven't cruised out of Charleston yet but we will be early next year and we'll have videos about that cruise. We love Myrtle Beach but we also love cruising! It's so relaxing - everything is taken care of for you.
That beach was amazing. Yes the ride over I think would scare some people and both here and St. Thomas the taxi drivers drive really fast on those curvy mountain roads!
This wasn't a tour, this was us taking a taxi ourselves. Our ship was at this port for several hours. I mention the cost of the taxi in the video and that was the only expense we had. I think getting to this beach early is good to avoid crowds.
Love the video! I have a cruise booked that stops in Tortola next year and that looks like a great beach. I appreciate that you include the prices for things in your vlogs so I have an idea what to expect for cabs etc.
I haven't been for 22 years, but I would go to Tortola quite often for school breaks as a teen. Looks nice after the devastation from the hurricane 2 years ago. I've seen the drone footage and it was horrible. Thanks for posting this. Hope to take the family on this cruise soon. It helped.
We had a great cab driver (same one both ways) and he told us a lot about the hurricane and recovery. He said that almost everyone lost the roof off their houses but since they were built from cinder blocks the rest of the houses were mostly in tact. He said it took a while to recover but that it was mostly back to "normal". It's a stunning island!
Thank you for this video! We're going on our first cruise in February 2020 and Tortola is ine of our ports. We really just wanted to enjoy the beach without having to purchase an excursion. There's very little informative RU-vid videos about this lovely island and what to do besides shop. Again, thanks!
Glad it was helpful! I agree we couldn't find much information on a do it yourself excursion! We had the best time going to Cane Garden Bay! Beautiful and hassle free! Have a wonderful cruise! 🚢
That looks so inviting. Might be exactly what I need right now. Just finished 2 weeks in the hospital, and I need some comfort. That water looks so inviting !! TFS...Rhino
