As Roman I’ll be forever grateful to the Maestro Puccini...this piece is emotionally moving since perfectly represents the ‘800 Roman ambience: romantic, passionate, pastoral, melancholic... a world disappeared, which today just lives in center small streets by night
Well, it's well done, and that's all that matters. An out of tune boy is not a reason for having a boy! And they are in short supply, and parents don't want to take their kids out of mainstream school. Counter tenor did it when I went to see a concert performance on holiday in New York - that was far worse than an operatic soprano.
It seems like all the little boys I hear sing this role do it off pitch, warbly, and completely miss the modality so I'm glad to hear an actual adult singer who knows what she's doing. In all the recordings of Tosca I've heard I've only heard one boy do it right, and he was one of those little Italian boys with a nasally voice.
