I've always felt like Tosh's storyline should have carried over into the Rebellion storyline. Like Tosh and his Spectres help out with the Odin and Korhal missions as repayment for Raynor helping him out.
Tosh was right about one thing: there will be another Mengsk who succeed current Mengsk.😂 Funny how he and Nova was a couple when he still a ghost. Mind wipe protocol ruined them. They shouldn't have put Thor units here, it shouldn't appear before the news media mission.
Even the Tal'darim stole the psionic lash ability that both psionic lash and mind blast are essentially the same lol. For the uninitiated, Tosh's "Mind Blast" is actually the ultrasonic pulse just renamed, and not to be confused with the ascendant's mind blast ability which is essentially just like psionic lash that cannot hurt buildings.
I wonder if GiantGrantGames would try a deathless run for this mission with some friends now that the AI won’t be there to run its troops to their deaths
I find it funny that throughout all of the conversation between Nova and Tosh, it’s ironic how the former say such things where she was kidnapped by the Dominion, on Tarsonis when it was becoming a Zerg-infested wreck, and became an experimental Ghost guinea pig. All because she was part of the Old Family of the Confederacy. Every mission she did, she had to be sedated enough where her past memories/trauma wouldn’t come up and cause a mental breakdown. Basically, Ghost and Spectres are two sides of the same coin. But thanks to the retcons, the Nova we see here is not the same Nova back then: with a good-written character. Oh, did I forgot to mention that StarCraft: Ghost game? The one that got scrapped where it showed us Nova for the first time? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Edit: Also, at 10:59, I like how Nova also tried to paint New Folsom holding the worst of the worst. In reality, most of the prisoners are simply people who challenged the empire. Mostly harmless. The few are Tosh’s Spectres. That’s it. Yet, this NEVER gets brought up until HotS when Raynor confronts with Nova and only mentions the “betrayal.” Tosh never gets brought up too. I like the Jamaican character. He’s coocoo but has good intentions in mind using the morally grey methods. Knows more than he leads on too. The fact he sees what Raynor saw from Zeratul’s visions, yet shrugs and says what he does is up to him speaks much about Tosh. Just sad the psycho never gets to be seen again.

Kind of wish for more missions like this...already toyed with one set in Covert Ops where Nova frees cells to recruit units like Hellbats, Goliaths, and Siege Tanks to join the pushing in an uprising...or trying to counter a Zerg invasion by clearing paths for Reapers and Goliaths to stem the tide. Speaking of, what additional reinforcing units would be applicable in that Protoss epilogue mission? Like I know we have Medivacs (with Marine escorts) and Thors for Terran and Mutas and Brood Lords for Zerg...and what options would there be for a whatif for Protoss? Colossi definitely, and Void Rays/Destroyers, maybe? Honestly, love those pushing missions where you help an ally advance...then get bonus objectives to amp up the pushing power.
Memers: "Fenix! _(or in Alternate, James)_ No..." Blizzard: "We just saved 50 years of political prisoners..." I get that there was the choir ending to "Better Tomorrow" but why so somber at the start of the track?
@@razorback9999able And the cheat code Gantrithor i suppose has it's lore weaponry. Purifying beam together with all kinds of weaponry, broadside cannons etc...
that tosh's knife is too offensive. like...i've expected a betrayal of tosh or arresting him into the basement of the hyperion. will it be more cool if raynor say "it ain't over till it's over you son of a bitch" and hand him over to nova.
Regardless of the so-called simping nonsense which is very insulting and makes other couples offended, I want to see more writings on Tosh, Nova, Ariel Hanson, Arcturus Mengsk, and many others from their perspective.
@@rawfleshStarCraft615We've pretty much known Mengsk's perspective of things in the first game. Nova has her solo campaign. And taking about Tosh and Ariel my guess the writers didn't know what to do with them, considering there wasn't "canon" choice in their misson, and one of the option leads to their death.
@@Kamenb1801 Well the good ending for both of them is considered the canon choice. The A canon. From SC Fandom: " Sure, yea I can say that we do say that the A choice that you made, was the canon decision. So, in terms of the SC canon, Raynor sided with Tosh and Raynor helped the colonists against Selendis. That said, I really would like to not have any player feel like their choice has been invalidated. In general, except for when the implications become overpowering, I think I'm going to try to stay away from going back and examining that stuff except when we really need to, so that you can play the game and really feel like your choices are being carried forward, and we do have the technology to check your save-game by the way.
