I was stuck trying to figure out how to replace the hard drive on my Toshiba S75-b7316 model. This was perfect in helping me successfully replace the hard drive.
I realize this video is 1-1/2 years old but on a chance..can the keyboard be removed without removing the motherboard? I know ther are two screws holding it in, but are they two from the bottom you removed? or are they under the motherboard?
Hi, do you have any idea where I can buy a replacement keyboard for this machine? I have the same laptop but cannot find the replacement part. Im in New Zealand.
hi guys, does anyone know if the jumper for bios reset of this toshiba satellite model (L70-B) is B500? I have not found any information and before I wanted to make sure. Thank you
Ciao, potresti pubblicare un video su come cambiare la Keyboard del Toshiba P70-B-10T? Hi, could you post a video on how to change the Keyboard of the Toshiba P70-B-10T? Best regards
Thank you very much for the tutorial. I was looking for two years how to remove the back cover of my PC to change the hard drive. I want to change my current hard drive to install a faster SSD. And I wanted to know if there was a second bay for a second hard drive? Have a good night
I have the same laptop, the problem started a few months ago. Recently i had to erase everything in the hardisk, including the Toshiba Recovery partition (it wasn't working anyway) and installed Windows 10 Pro. Now the laptop only uses the Intel HD 4600 graphics card. The device manager shows randomly the AMD gpu ("show hidden devices" enabled) and, when it does, it is disabled by Windows because, according to the OS, it is "causing problems". The weirdest thing is, also recently, when i start Windows, sometimes the network adapter gets disabled (obviously loosing my internet connection) and when this happens the AMD gpu gets enabled It's as if there is some kind of a conflict between these two components... I already tried clean installations of the most recent graphics card drivers for the Intel and the AMD, also the original manufacturer ones after a clean Windows 10 installation. Also tried 7 and 8 Windows. Also i've tried to update bios but it has the latest version. The bios is the UEFI version, so don't have switchable graphics option... Am i missing something? I've seen hundreds of people with similar problem reporting and none of them gave a final solution for this. The technicians says that may the graphic card fried or malfunction and need to be replaced...i won't fall for that because i've seen people having the same problem and the laptop was recently new. So i believe it's something else. When i choose "show hidden devices" it's there but in ''ghost'' mode... I've tried booting linux through usb also in the terminal doesn't show the gpu... Thank you in advance for any help. I'm starting to have a headache trying to figure this out a long time and no success...
How applicable is this for a S70-B-10U? Noticed noise coming from cpu fan and looking to replace it or failing that opt to find equivalent (if not better) replacement laptop.
Hi, I have the model S70-B, It has the same screws and thedrive, I removed everything but something stops me from removing the cover... there is pressure just were the battery was...
gvasilas a i had the same problem but thought it had something to do with opening it from the wrong direction. i used brute force and when it popped out a little screw wich is blue at the bottom fell out.
Hi great job good video. Can u please tell me if there is place for 2nd hard drive . Im not sure do I see on your video some usata pcie near the ram ?Thanks
+Marian Cerov there's no room for another drive, sometime there are third party adapters to fit a hdd int he optical drive bay but it depends on the model.
hi, you could show me how to change the fan, my P70B does not stay on, I disassembled the hull, and I see that it does not rotate, I think it's because of him. Can you help me ?? thank you PS: I know it's an old video, sorry
Ok, i have a Problem with this Notebook, perhaps The P70-B121. Anytime the AMD GPU is used, the CPU ist overheating while playing, because of the one Heatpipe. That means, the hotspots from the GPU went to CPU, instead of being blown out of the case, so that the notebook turn off automstcally of. Without using the AMD GPU the CPU Temperature ist fine, also under load. What can i do? I allready had remove dust and renew the thermal paste, same problem. Why can´t manufacturer develope machines, that will function and not "only function if not used"?
Good video very useful, I've got the 10T version of this and am going to be upgrading the 2TB HDD to a 500GB SSD for higher speeds. Bit annoying there is no Access panel like other laptops so makes things more complicated but still easy enough
I have P70-B-104. I have Bought it as used. Guy before me had played with cooler. Fan is working constantly on MAXIMUM. I noticed fan is 3 connector and on board there is 4 connector pins. Is that normal? Also, I noticed PAD 4300 box soldering is taken out. And fresh soldering in few pins. What is your opinion and suggestion for further steps? Do you have some high resolution picture of MB so I could compare connection around fan connector CN 4300? Thank you in advance.
+Aleksandar Vranic Hmm, that is very strange if you can see new soldering. I don't have a high resolution photo of the unit and suggest you take it to a professional to have a look at.
+dpcomputing thank you for the fast reply. I do not have authorized Toshiba service in my neighborhood, but I have taken laptop to professional who deals with computer electronic. Apparently, fan was broken, and replacement is not original. Someone made adjustment of electronic so replaced fan works on maximum. Do you remember if the fan cable have 3 or 4 pin connector? Laptop is 1 y.o.
+dpcomputing He will check all till Friday. If the fan is wrong he must order it first. It is specific model and it is hard to find any info on the net. To be honest, you a re the only one I manage to find with any useful info. I will share any news I get.
Hi, I have got laptop back. Controller and fan are been tempered. Fan is not original and that is why it is working const. We are unable to find original 4 pin fan for P70-b-104. He tried with asus 4 pin and it is working, just it starts to spin late, when pipe is too hot so he let it on max. Do you have any suggestions where to find FAN online. I would like to check if it can be sent to Serbia. Thank you.

Hey i hope you can help me quick. How can i get the whole disc thing out of my Computer? In the Video you just pulled it how. But i cant really remove it like this
I've just taken delivery of one of these to replace my satellite p300-1cn which is losing brightness on the screen. Now that I've seen how disappointingly "non" upgradable it is, I may just send it back. The fact that there's no space for a 2nd hard drive to keep essential data separate in the event of a hard drive failure is not reassuring for anyone who understandably distrusts clouds for secure backup of the (ahem!) nude-ish holiday photos or vids of the wife/girlfriend. LOL It's shocking that the older models were considerably more flexible for upgradable options than what is available now. Back in the day that was the case for Apple whilst having a more stable os, you had to save up to buy the most expensive one you could afford as everything was hardwired in with no upgrade options. The more popular option for those on a budget would be buying a basic model and then add to it over time as spare cash was put aside. Now it seems everything is being appletized and that is not healthy for business or consumers. Should I just send the new one back and save £700 and get a new still available screen for my old faithful? It upgraded to windows 10 no bother with the additional 8Gb memory upgrade from 4Gb and I still have the option of swapping my pc-express cards round between either the external creative soundcard or having 4 usb3 ports plus there are 2 "yes 2" 1Tb hard drives in it. Not bad for an old timer laptop which still has more connectivity ports than what is being peddled now so what way do I go?
+Lee Sanderson Yes new laptop scan be hard to upgrade but like anything it pays to look around first. I'd say get a quote on a new screen for your old laptop and then weigh up the costs and advantages when compared to the new system.
