Go fuck out of here", I answer the fact is he could't release his bankai due to conditions of the fight and it is a part of his powers he has to deal with, like the fact his zanpakuto is reluctant to obey. There is people among captain level shinigamis who have a useless bankai or a bankai less powerful than shikai or useful in only some situations or conditions. Who give the same comments on them ? Nobody. The only thing I see is : 1) Shunsui has been treacherous all along the fight 2) Shunsui has been helped and has finally achieved to have an opening only due to help 3) Shunsui being able to use his bankai only in some situations is a part of his power(it is to note the reason for that could be like Hirako or Soi Fon, because he has simply received a particular zanpakuto, "or" his zanpakuto and notably his bankai has not always been like that, but like Yamamoto, it's with age, training and experience, Kyoraku is arrived to a level of reiatsu and mastery on his powers his bankai has become too strong to be used in any situations.

@@bbaeri1557 Being a prodigy just means he learns faster and has higher cap than others. That doesnt mean much when he hasn't had a lot of time to develop. Keep in mind Tōshirō is apparently younger than rukia.

Toshiro is just op, so was able to adapt to hallibel quite quickly (he seemingly has more potential than Ichigo and is a prodigy through and through) and he didn't exactly defeat her, he just has a technique that let's him punch a bit above his weight class in certain situations. In general, I think the community underrate both hallibel and toshiro a lot when discussing this fight

You say he's a prodigy. Because the show/manga told you that he is. There is no other indicator for it than that. And more potential than Ichigo? One of the two has been training for hundreds of years, and would still get his ass whooped by the other.

@@noneofyourbusiness4294 I disagree. Toushiro fights gin, who holds back and doesn't kill him (fight ends early cause rangiku steps in). He fights aizen and gets one shot. He fights that one arrancar and needs the gentei kaijo to win since he's in the world of the living and at 20% strength. He fights hallibel and manages to freeze her with his ultimate technique, but doesn't take her down cause wonderweiss frees her. He fights aizen again and does decent but gets flattened. Then he fights that one dude who has the game fullbring and kinda just bullies him. Finally, he fights some dude in tybw and gets his bankai snatched. I don't see how plot convenience did anything in any of these fights. And yes, toushiro is op as hell. Even kyoraku said given 100 more years toushiro would be stronger than him. 100 years isn't even long at all for shinigami. He's literally a child with an under developed bankai, who's body can't handle his full power and has the least experience of any captain but still manages to be as strong as he is, to the point where he can keep up with and even best Espada 3. At that point in the show, he is stronger than ichigo, as ulquiorra claims that the top 3 are all more powerful than him. And even by the end of the original anime, toushiro in base is stronger than he was in bankai in fake karakura Town. At that point, he's stronger than ichigo as well (both full power in bankai). So yes, he is a prodigy, and he's not even at full potential yet cause as I stated before, soon he'll surpass kyoraku, surely surpassing every soul reaper at his peak. But yeah keep underrating him if you want, the community loves to do that.

After witnessing Toshiro's clone ability, she probably became overcautious and decided to take time to insure his defeat. Or Hitsugaya, as a fast-learning prodigy, simply adapted to her speed after witnessing it from the side. Something very similiar happened during the second showdown between Yammy and Urahara, where Yammy surprise-attacked Urahara with Bala, but it turned out that it was just a clone, and then Urahara easily countered it thanks to inspecting the tecnique.

In all honesty, the numbers don’t accurately rank the power of the espada. In my opinion, the actual rankings go something like this (in order): Ulquiorra Cifer (4) Baraggan Louisenbairn (2) Coyote Starrk (1) Tier Harribel (3) Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez (6) Nnoitra Gilga (5) Yammy Llargo (0) Wonderweiss Margela (N/A) Zommari Rureaux (7) Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck (3) Luppi Antenor (6) Szayelaporro Granz (8) Aaroniero Arruruerie (9) Dordoni Alessandro Del Socaccio (103) Gantenbainne Mosqueda (107) Cirucci Sanderwicci (105) Ulquiorra and Baraggan could swap places (probably not though). Baraggan and Starrk could swap places. Grimmjow and Nnoitra could swap places. Zommari could go above Wonderweiss or Yami.

Its kind of complicated to explain because 1 - Ichigo's power fluctuates a lot and 2 - Toshiro had a good ability matchup against Harribel, but the short answer is ultimately yes, Toshiro was stronger than Ichigo during this fight. Let's break down why: 1) When they are all in base form, the Espada rankings are accurate. When they are all in Resureccion form, those rankings are still accurate. (Important Side Note - Yammy and Ulquiorra are the only two Espada who can break this rule; it does not always apply to them. This because they both have a second stage to their Resureccions (which they keep a secret from the others). When in first release they stay where they are originally ranked, but when they use those second forms they easily become the two most powerful Espada, with Yammy jumping from rank 10 to 0 and Ulquiorra going from rank 4 to no longer having a number at all. 2) While Toshiro and Halibel were both in base form the two fought on pretty equal footing, When Halibel activates her Resureccion and Toshiro activates Bankai, the two are still pretty even. meanwhile... Ichigo was already using Bankai but still struggled to stay alive against Ulquiorra's base form and overventually formed He then got straight up bullied by Ulquiorra's first release

@@RGA301092 No, only Renji at this stage. Captain level requires Bankai. Renji is low Capitain tier as he hasn't mastered his Bankai yet. Kenpachi is the only one to obtain Captain as per duel, which is an exception.

Toshiro got injured by Luppi and he had a damn Ice regeneration. By the time this fight took place he was miles stronger than the beginning of the arc.

After that she face toshiro again with the vizards and she was keeping up with them until aizen finishes the job. Even tried to swung on him. @@fadumomohamed2342 he removed his Gentei Kaijo probably he didn't even have it when he fought Luppi however, if you take a look at his all round abilities it was mainly due to his ice powers which often acted as a negating force on top of that Harribel was a Water user. Makes sense for them to pair her up with him. Also, Ulquiorra said that Ichigo couldn't stand to the three above him back when he hadn't yet beaten Grimmjow. By that he must be referring to the fact that Resurreccion Primera version of his when he didn't use his Segunda Etapa. In other words Ulquiorra Primera Etapa>Harribel Resurreccion>Barragan Resurreccion>Starrk Resurreccion>=Ulquiorra Segunda Etapa. Which would make sense for Harribel to be stronger for one, she had greater Reiatsu and two, in the Fullbringer Arc, Ginjo revealed that the Substitute Shinigami Badge allowed the Soul Society to monitor and control Ichigo's Reiatsu granted almost every Espada beyond Nnoitra and every Captain beyond Toshiro were stronger than Ichigo

Harribel, as a peaceful and cautious individual, clearly held back.

But Toshiro is basically a hard counter agains't Hallibel, he has the strongest Ice Zanpakuto in the Sereitei and is stated to have more potential and natural talent than most.

@@user-om8dc5ne4u I mean, she isn't even the fastest Espada so i don't see any reason for him to no be able to react to it. Toshiro was able to even react a bit to Ichimaru attacks in their 1v1. It's really just more of a fight of atrition which Hallibel couldn't keep up with, since Toshiro stats keeps getting higher while his bankai is on.

Think Pokémon style type advantage Toshiro counters Hallibel cause the more water she creates the easier it is for Toshiro to make and control ice

@@TheDBLANCHARD yea, it just sucks cus i was looking forward to watching bleach and seeing dope fights cause its considered one of the big 3 (4). I am lowkey hurt that the fights dont compare to any of the big name animes, I understand why people like bleach tho. It just not for me

@@benchillin9175 I wouldn't say they suck but I understand that they aren't mind-blowing unfortunately. Like I can only think of 4 fights (hisagi vs findorr, Ichigo vs ginjo, Ichigo and Grimmjow's first and last battle) in the anime and 1 canon fight in a movie (hollow ichigo vs Ulquiorra) that hold up to this day. But that's out of around 200 canon episodes. Though the fights in the soul society arc were impressive considering the year in which they aired (2005), most notably Ichigo vs byakuya. What sucks the most is that some filler episodes actually have better animation than canon fights.

@@grenfurogi3393 yea. Im just upset because i was going to watch bleach because there is no other anime that i havent already watched, waiting for ep to build up, or just stop watching because some writers dont know how to make a manga a good anime.

I do think bleach still has better animated fights than both one piece (although they do snap with the Wano arc from time to time) and dragon ball, but is nowhere near Naruto. But now that we have the TYBW which already has 3 great fights, we can expect a lot more dope fights.
