perfect! your voice is so beautiful, your lyric soprano is wonderful too, my life goal is to be able to sing like you one day. I cried with joy when I saw your cover of Wishing you were somehow here again, because the Phantom of the opera is my favorite musical. Epica covers are also my favorites. Never stop expressing this talent, I'm very grateful. hugs from Brazil ♥ ️
Wow thank you so much for you kind words, that is the nicest compliment.💖 Phantom is one of my favorites too. I listened to it over and over as a kid. 😁 I will definitely be posting something in the higher soprano range soon!
Gosh, I love your covers. Not only you have a lovely voice but also a style very much your own that makes every song completely yours. Have you considered covering No one else from The Great Comet? I feel like it'd suit your voice.
Thank you so much for this! I listened to this song yesterday for the first time and been humming it nonstop since then and now I just got this notification
Indeed a good decision to keep it in the lower key. Wow, when you listen to this then listen to one of your higher songs (e.g. Wuthering Heights, my favorite by the way) you realize how versatile a singer you are!
Thanks! Lol, yes I have a pretty big range. For years I only sang high soprano stuff. But now I find it fun to practice stuff in a lower voice, even if it is a bit harder for me cuz I'm not as used to it. 🙃
Thank you so much, yes I used to think I couldn't sing lower, and only sang very high for many years. But now I find it to be really fun to practice in the lower range. Thank you for your lovely comments!
Oh thank you! That means a lot because there are some really fantastic cover versions out there! I'm so happy you enjoyed it, sometimes I dont know how much other people will like it when I sing stuff in a way *I* think is more fun, rather than just focusing on sounding pretty... So I'm really happy that you liked it! 😁😁😁
@@Jess.Anderson it had that bard authenticity to the song, I think that's what made it so good, after all it is a bard song and should be sung like a bard. But definitely always stick to singing stuff in a fun way :P

I generally really like your voice, just listened to 'Wishing you were somehow here again' and 'On my own' and thought, you nailed both Eponine and Christine, but I agree, that the key in this song is a bit too low. I would love to hear a soprano version of this. NOt that this is not good, but it doesn't really bring out your voice.
I'm so glad you enjoyed them. I really enjoy getting feedback like this so thank you! I know my lower range is not where I shine, but making covers like this really helps me to strengthen it. (And I find making youtube covers are how I improve the most, since I dont take voice lessons or anything) And strengthening my lower range really helps me improve my middle/mixed voice. which is something I do use all the time in a lot of my more soprano range covers. It helps with overall vocal control I guess. Anyway, I know it's not my strength, I just do it more for learning, and also because it's a lot of fun sometimes! 😁 I will be uploading some higher soprano covers very soon though! Thanks again! 🤗
Hi, I'm french so sorry by advance if my english isn't perfect :P It's the best female cover I've heard so far ! Seriously, you litteraly live the song, your facial expressions are epic... You have a lot of talent and you deserve much more recognition ! I shared your version to my community, wich is worthy of the netflix serie ! Thanks for this ! In French : Tu assures, j'espère que ta reprise va exploser les records car tu le mérites largement ! :D
Thank you!! theres a lot of good ones. My favorite version is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Er9kJVuC1aA.html Its just really so fantastic, I cant stop listening!
Your style in this song in particular reminds me of persephone in Hadestown the musical. There's something to be said for a contemporary musical theater style of singing on RU-vid. Well done!👍
Hi. Mind blowing voice with soul. Love that. Have you ever thought about cover something from florence & the machine? I would love to hear that. Thanks the stonemason
Isn't it just wonderful? Jess, not only you have an amazing talent, you also have an amazing taste as well :D Witcher foreva!!! Hugs for you! Plus Elysium is still alive- are you interested in singing something soon? :3
Oh wow, really? Last I had heard no one able of recording examples and mixing had the time to work on it. But sure! I can absolutely join in on whatever your working on. Do you guys still have my email? It is the same one. I dont have the same FB anymore, unfortunately.
@@Jess.Anderson maybe it was you that I have heard. Your voice does come very close to what I heard. Somewhere from a video on FB. I recognize that by the timing of your vocabulary.
@@YamaDWD Oh, well... if it sounded like me, it probably was. I think my style here is more theatrical compared to most of the other female covers. So I think mine is pretty recognizable. 😁
This song in Belarusan language. Кто хочет послушать белорусскую версию этой песни, калі ласка, вот ссылка: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-M6vWMq8ymHk.html
This is probably going to get lost in the comments... But I actually made an oud cover of this epic song recently and it would mean the world if you could check it out!! Much love and have an amazing day ^^
Hmmm, not sure what you mean but it's the same key as the original so exact same notes. Jaskier is a tenor and so those notes are probably towards the top of his range. And I am high soprano, so those same notes are nowhere near my top note. So it sounds different when performed by different voice types, but they are the same notes/just as high. 🙃
Haha, thank you. That's sweet but, I dont know if I can act... other than voice-over style acting. I've never really tried, but I think I'd be all awkward wondering what to do with my hands constantly. 😂
