I know this is years later but I've recently gotten this game and rewatched this video cause I wanted to post my high score. With the Newgrounds tank, a nuke, the golden gun, the missle, and the bomb that deploys when you stop. My high score was an amazing 3240538.8 feet and cash reward of $919786. I'm proud of myself and I hope you all who read this did amazing as well. Thanks for making this video mark.

I've played a similar, less cruel game, its protagonist being a paper airplane with increasingly unrealistic engineering capabilities.

I wonder if the teacher who scolded Markiplier for playing The Impossible Game in school said something like "You'll never succeed if you just screw around and play video games" and is now living with the horrific realization that they said one of the most ironic things of all time.

I love how markiplier doesnt know, that in the tutorial, you can use keys to move up and right, allowing you to go further. He also doesn't know that the farther you fall, the more Kinetic Energy you gain. So of you hit yourself at 50 ft, after falling from 1000 ft, you'd go higher.

The first version of this kind of game that I ever heard of/played was "hedgehog launch". Freaking loved that game.

So mark made a few classic mistakes with this game. 1:rocket and nukes should be used after you slow down (instant speed boost and acts like second cannon launch respectively) . 2: limited range weapons should be bought and used after the second and third cannon (they naturally launch you past the limit) 3: thinking 450000 is the limit. If I remember correctly, my high score was around 3 million feet; it breaks after that (I mean it, there are so many spikes at that point you are lucky to get farther)

I remember back in the day about 5 years ago I was playing this so much to the point were I literally spent about 100+ hours on it and bought everything. At that point each of my tosses lasted about 5+ mins with the turtle going over 1,000,000 miles and going up to the altitude of 4,000.

Wasted three and a half hours of my life in one sitting playing this game. My highscore is 4135955.7 ft.

At around 17:00 did you use the same clip twice with hitting the sun over the ceiling

Pro tip, hold the forward and up arrow keys down while the turtle is flying to gain a little extra momentum and distance
