I've always thought the logic behind you continuing after your car blows up is that the runs are happening inside your head so you're preparing your car. Don kinda hints at that with his commentary on the upgrade screen

This dude is a fucking legend. He was able to escape the city, in a battle prepared sports car, pancaking zombies while singlehandedly defeating the entire fucking military.

It’s cool how the mountain in the background gradually comes into view as the game progresses… It’s a nice little detail.

Nostalgia at its peak. I remember playing Road of The Dead on my Dad's Laptop, my Dad wouldn't let me download anything on his laptop so all the games that I played were mostly Flash Online Games. Ah, the good old days.

I love how in this game, the main priority soldiers have in a zombie apocalypse, is a car.

The fact that Mark wants to be friends with the people literally blasting him out of the highway is hilarious.

I kind of feel like the military kind of screwed themselves when they started using a PUBLIC RADIO to relay their orders.

All zombie types explained: Normal zombies: Normal human beings who have turned into zombies from the disease. Easiest to kill. Brutes:Stronger human beings which shows some types of mutation. Harder to kill and can take more damage. Zombie soldiers:Military personell who have became zombies after they were overrun in the checkpoints. Hardest to kill because of there helmet and bulletproof vest. Ravagers:Named that because of there appearance. People who were murdered, devoured, then turned into zombies. You can see it because there organs are showing. Mutants and alpha mutants:One of the strongest zombies in the road of the dead universe. Unknown how they were created, but a military personnel claimed that he saw a normal zombie tear off there skin, devour it, and thats how they were made. Please tell me if i missed any, and thanks for reading! Edit:I forgot to mention the alpha mutants. I am not completely sure how they are made, but they have a dark red skull to see the difference between them.

Whenever people ask me how the heck the military gets overrun in zombie movies, I just direct them to this guy.

I like how the military gets more and more determined to stop you the further you go. Also, it’s like they go more insane and corrupt.

Military logic: Instead of killing the mass hordes of zombies, let’s shoot at a car that is miles away from the exit to the city.

Fun fact: in the 2nd game this guy drove through outposts making the military fall faster. It didn’t help that the military wasted most of their helicopters on him. This guy basically made the military fall faster then it could’ve

The logic is that he is somehow thinking forward and planning his route before he actually goes out. I assume this because of what he says after you die.

How time flies... 8 years since this video was posted. I remember getting the notification on my laptop at school, and being excited to get home to watch it... didnt do homework or anything that day

I think what this game does so well is it manages to cram everything in perfectly. The story's not told through cut scenes (except for the intro and ending) it's told WHILE you're playing, and nothing interrupts your playing. And what you're playing feels fast and hectic but also totally fair and totally within your control if you know what you're doing. There's like, very little I can think of that stops the game from being engaging! The pacing's really good too. Feels like everything they could have thought have to have as a mechanic was introduced at a good pace: spike traps, explosive charge traps, helicopters, military using different tactics, enhanced infected, etc, on top of all the stuff at the beginning. It's a small experience but it feels perfect for what it is.

2 things 1: the military might have actually had this contained if it wasn’t for the protagonist 2: one shot with a random pistol to the head kills any zombie on the car, but a trained soldier with military grade weapons and ammunition can hardly kill a normal one. Nevertheless a whole nuke can’t

the fact that the highly trained helicopter pilot didn't use: missiles armor piercing rounds common sense and not running into signs more than 8 bullets at a time
