Lost an old friend recently that I played this game with in my childhood. That'd be roughly 20 years ago by now. Lost contact with him a few months before he took his life, so I don't know how he had it there at the end, but I hope that in his hardest hours he still had some good memories that he and I shared... like how we would sit day and night sometimes, and play this game. That's the strongest memories I have of him after all. I'd like to think of this specific soundtrack as a way to say goodbye. He liked Aramon the most.
Oh man... I remember playing Iron Plague with my little brother over our LAN, against countless hordes of CPU units, I'd make tones of Trebuchets and dragons, he'd pile on his Rock giants (stone giants?) and 'lone wolf' and experience up his Wolfs, micro'ing the hell out of them. We'd eventually win but DAMN it would be hours and hours haha. What fun it used to be.
