I would love a practice really focused on strengthening the glutes and legs - toning and strengthening the lower body as the sole focus! Thanks so much
Finally I've found yoga delivered just how I like it! I love your clear no nonsense approach - you just get on with it without the chatter, which is great. I've only done about 4 of your classes but have enjoyed everyone. You've inspired me to keep going with my home practice! Thank you :)
Yes! Absolutely love this flow, I am here for alignment and correct muscle activation! Also love your joy and sense of humor as you teach thank you for your content😇
So good Tim no mucking around straight into the stretches. I been previously been doing your other lessons and upto leson 23.prefer if you had some short half hour vids where you straight into the stretches with out stopping to explain as time is a factor for me in the mornings. tnx pete
Yes, your lesson did suddenly get harder. So much so that I could not properly do twisting boat properly at all. But then, my hip flexors are weak for pulling. Thanks for a great class!
During Savasana, when you suggested I imagine my breathing as waves coming and going, I realized that damn, our breathing does sound and feel like the ebbing and flowing of waves in the ocean. 😱 Brain freeze! Thanks Tim. The waves in me honor the waves in you 🌊🌊
@@yogawithtim I'm in the UK, in Devon at the moment. We recently had the hottest July day on record. This caused a lot of controversy: was it the consequence of global warming or just a hot summer day? I read the US wildfire season is now 78 days longer than it was five years ago - wow! Anyway, as this is a yoga forum and not a soapbox...do you find yourself adding more cooling asanas in the heat during your practice when it's hot than you might otherwise do or do you stick with your regular practice and just find it harder?
Fantastic practice. My alignment was better throughout this series more than any other time I've practiced yoga due to the specific muscle focus in the beginning exercises. Thank you!
Wonderful class! Loved the ab moves, and modified gate is such a great stretch! I appreciate the focus on proper connection in the beginning, with the legs. It gives a me a moment to get the right activation that I can take into the rest of the class. Shoulders next? Thank you!
Thanks Tim....I now remember why I like doing your yoga. Haven't done much since the 30 day challenge at the beginning of the year and it was about time ..... Great re intro & finishing with the Pranayama was so calming ....Loved it.
Awesome way to start or end my day! The pain near my left glute is almost gone. Thanks, Tim for always posting videos that have really helped me when I need it the most. Yes, I look for;ward to the lower back one as well. Have a great day! Namaste!
Thank you once again Tim! I don't comment enough, but you should know that one of your 30 day challenges was the reason yoga entered my life for the long haul. It's what made it a habit. Thanks for the Conscious Movement movement 😊
Really excellent instruction for pre-Warrior 3, that's probably the first time I wasn't putting weight into the block! I also always love when you talk during savasana, this one was deeply relaxing. Thanks Tim!
Hi from Scotland, great session - just what's needed two weeks before my first marathon! One thing that I'd find very useful would be a quick release sequence for working at a desk all day.
Loved it . Thanks Tim. Just the right balance to challenge but not defeat . But with putting all the effort in to produce the video, much as you love him, why allow your dog to obstuct our view of your whole body. Take care.
Thank you very much Tim for this video. Since I found your channel, I enjoy doing yoga every day with your videos. You are excellent yoga teacher. Namaste!
That was a great class. I tend to sink in my lower back (from back to front). It was nice to have a class that focused on this. ... Boat pose at the end, after all that back work, was brutal.
Hi Tim, I've been doing this for over a year and love it. It keeps my lower back pain free. Can you recommend one of your videos that would be the next step up or more challenging than this one, but still focusing on the same muscle groups? Thanks and... what's behind the window😁?
Oh my god Tim that was soo good! I feel great now 😁 Iv been out with a sore back for months and now it's lovely and brings me peace to be able to practice again. Thanks you sensei 🙏🏼🕉 namaste
@@yogawithtim Tim, I would love to work upper body and stretch. And if its possible please say Hi to Mexico City. A couple of friends of mine are following you. Thank´s a lot for your great videos. As soon as I get on track with some financial issues I'm going to suscribe again to your conscious movement with I really enjoy and love your 1 hour videos. Namaste!
Another great session..... I am studying exercise science and also prepping for a powerlifting comp (and rising three kids AND running a business).. I love your cue’s and info on anatomy, body awareness and breathing as we move through the flow.... find this is perfect for my down time and balancing my hectic af life. Thanks you once again🤟🏻 As for ideas on sessions.. I always love a good twisting session, it feels like the twists really decompress my lower back after big lift days.
Thank you brother Tim this is a great workout! I really found focus and concentration into this session today. I will take this forward into my whole day. नमस्ते 🙏🏻 💜
Thank you for all your classes, I really enjoy it a lot. Learning how to mobilize is useful in every aspect of my life. However, I have a question, I am doing a lot of sport (crossfit and bodyweight or lightweight exercise + bike) but I wondered if I replaced the crossfit by yoga if I would loose my musculature ? Yoga makes me feel real good and i wish to practice it more but am scared I get fat if I stop crossfit/bodyweight... How do you keep this muscular body ?
Good morning!!! Tim, it was the second time I did this class and it made a sense today that didn´t do the first time I did it!!Felt much more the glutes connection with hip and knees!!! Amazing!!Thank you!! Just one question, I have big difficulties in doing Virabhadrsana III (with the block like we did here) without losing the symmetry of the hips...I think its my low abs that are not so strong..What is your opinion? Namaste and thank you again for all your sharing!!
Loved this video. The leg work at the beginning was very helpful for the rest of the flow. Hey Tim, would you consider doing some shoulder stands and perhaps flowing into forward bends?
Tim, you said "before I learned anatomy...". How did you learn it? Could you maybe share some sources? Love, love, love your work, thank you for sharing!
Hi Tim, thanks so much (again and again 😊)! Would appreciate if you could make a small video or something explaining the conscious movement community (history, topics, are all former videos accessible and how does it work (youtube??), ...). For months, I am interested to join, but unsure what it is all about in detail. Love what you are doing. It means a lot to me 😎😉
Thanks Tim, a good / grounding practice to return to, after a couple of weeks off the mat due to a work (hands /arms rsi) injury. Am now fighting a cold (we are in our winter here), so wondering if you have a sequence for chest opening and respiratory strengthening?
Great video again, Tim. Is it weird that I can't seem to engage my glutes without my hipflexors tightening and thrusting outwards? I have anterior pelvic tilt and have been doing some stretches given by an osteopath but it's still wanting to dominate the movements. My osteopath tells me it's a fairly common issue. Maybe you could consider doing a 5-7 day course on this topic. Thanks again for the vid.
Keep at it, it will start to get better over time. I know this is a very common situation. Just keep having the intention to work the right action. Try coming on a retreat sometime so I can help you in person : ) Costa Rica is happening August 10th ; )
Good Practice. Hey, I just started a new job and now I have to wake up earlier... Do you think it's alright to do yoga straight out of bed? Its my best time to practice.
Not Tim, but - yes, though you may find you want or need to loosen up a little before yoga proper - do a little deep breathing, stand up, just get ready for what you are planning. Try these from Tim, depending on how much time you will have: 20-minute morning yoga: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zJj_Y8ojkpk.html 30 minute morning vinyasa flow: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GUWpQ5OpIZg.html or 45-minute morning yoga: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8vD_h11zo0I.html
@@spiralx6249 , Thank you for your response. I have to practice straight out of bed now. I used to walk my dogs before my practice to get somewhat loosen up. I feel horrible walking them at 5 am; they look so peaceful while they're sleeping and I feel guilty waking them up so early. I try to walk them at the very last minute possible because they have to stay home for 9 hours without relieving themselves. We're all going through a life change, but they seem to be handling the routine better now.
Well, while the dogs go on sleeping, you can go into mountain pose and take a few deep breathes to oxygenate the system. Then do a few simple stepping exercises on the spot, lifting the knees, to get the blood pumping. Add some simple arm-lifting, and in about 5 minutes, you should be ready to go!
