Pleeeaaassseee let there be more jokes like 'what your doing is completly natural'; I haven't heard comedy like that for total drama since season 3, and even then it wasn't at that level.
There is more adult humor to come in the series as well. I made the show in mind that some parents might be watching and need something to laugh at as well knowing that jokes catered to them will blow over their kids heads. Some of the adult humor in the episodes still makes me laugh when I read them in the scripts and to be honest I wrote the script for Kimberly's audition tape in about 20 minutes or so, so some of my more thought out and polished writing is alot more funny. Not to give much away but Total Drama Oskayi Island isn't afraid to go places and be a little edgy, this season is gonna do something the series has never done before and touch on new ground never explored in the series before. Its nothing incredibly crazy but the season strives to be as real a possible and isn't afraid to show the realness of it's characters.

All contestants will get audition tapes to air as promotional material for the show to build up to episode 1, which means the last audition tape will release the day before episode one premiers.
ive kinda got a question: since there are no audition tapes for Owen,Gwen,Alejandro and the other winners that won there 1st season does that mean that the people that have auditions wont win?
TheNewDerpy Jet Cameron and Lightning have audition tapes and we do Sky and Shawn. Although those four tapes were a little unorthodox if not just strung together they still exist. One thing I'd like to do if I get on board with Fresh TV with this project and actually create those audition tapes so they can finally exist. But to answer your question, every contestant will get an audition tape since these videos are acting as promotional material for the show and as small intros into each characters story.

I've been watching your videos for a while now, I guess you could say I'm a ghost viewer, but I've been keeping an eye on your progress all the same. I feel that it's at the point now where I will start giving my thoughts on your work as you come closer to beginning this thing! First off, Alex, I already like his character, his design is pretty well done, and compared to most OC's, he actually look like he could belong in the real show. The one thing that doesn't completely click with me in terms of Alex, is his pupils. I dunno, they feel a bit, big? I understand that eyes are one of the hardest things to perfect in Total Drama OC designs, so don't stress about what I have to say, your the professional here haha. It doesn't differ my opinion on his character though, so let's continue with that. I do feel like he has some Noah traits, perhaps mixed with early day Gwen (her bitter/hostile side), and I hope he actually makes it further than Noah, because it would be interesting to see how the show will progress with a character like Noah this time. He seems like he will be sarcastic, and I love that, but I feel as if physical things will be a downfall, only because of what he said. I look forward to seeing more of Alex. Now Kimberly. Ever since I first saw Kimberly's design, I have loved her. She was one of my early favourites, and from her audition tapes, I can already think up plot points that can involve her! I love her name, and I love how pretty she is, and this time I don't believe there is anything wrong with her design in my opinion. Anyways, her voice actor was a nice choice, she really fits the character. It's great to see a daddy's girl that isn't a complete bitch, in fact her personality sort of reminds me of Zoey, with the whole wants to be liked and fit in. That's not a bad thing, I love Zoey, despite All-Stars. I really hope she makes it far, and something tells me she will. Those are my opinions for the two that have been animated so far, and I see that Isabella's next. I believe she was the 14 year old Gamer Girl? I can already imagine the voice actor your speaking of being a really bubbly, higher pitched voice, but I could be wrong haha. I just have two questions for now, the first being are the younger competitors going to remain young, or are they going to be aged up to fit TDI's concept of a cast of 16 year olds? It's not really important, I just realised she was younger not long ago (I think Matt is as well?). The second question was what are young going to do for Jen and Zo's voice actors? If I recall correctly they are both twins, so were you going to somehow try and get Gwen and Heather's voice actors, or have someone similar? I suppose it would be easier to tell them apart if they ever somehow met. Keep up the astounding effort man, you've done an amazing effort and I can't wait to see the next audition!
One thing I wanted to do was have Matt and Isabella show up after a time skip in the show where they are the ages of 19 and 20 (Isabella being 19 and Matt being 20). Matt and Isabella would have a more gorwn up design and be similar in height to Jesse and Jen. It would be cool watching them compete when they were so young and actually get to see them grow up on the show. So yeah we will see older versions of Matt and Isabella with design changes. I'm excited to see what people will think about Older Isabella whom I think is gonna go through an amazing transformation from 14 to 19 year old. Matt on the other hand is gonna be reallt interesting as well. I've already go that storyline involving the Older versions of them and honestly I think people are gonna think that far into me running the show I've run out of ideas, then I'll bring this out blow their minds once again. I never stop thinking ahead ;) As for Jen and Zo, if I have to re-cast them I'm sure I'll find somebody who could pull off the best impression of Megan Fahlenbock and Rachel Willson possible in order to voice the characters should I be unable to get Fresh TV's support for the project. I have high hopes right now with the studio I work for helping me along with some of my projects so at the moment I've got high hopes for Total Drama Oskayi Island. Let's just say, I'm working over double time to get this thing going at the moment.

Hey Chester would you consider using one of my oc's, lol jk I know you have everything planned already. This is amazing btw I'm another dude who loves total drama and like I said I make my own oc's they all have there unique qualities like all of your characters, I love them all. Also I really love how your characters have different body types and are all very diverse. I notice that a lot of people who make a cast of total drama oc's always make them super attractive and perfect. Have you noticed that too.? But you always make them different and unique like an actual total drama cast would be. I also make different body types and head shapes and clothes. Which also brings me that. I also notice that other people who make an oc total drama cast also make them wear designer clothing and make them in super well like I said before perfect and beautiful. Never unattractive or flawed. Anyways I'm a big fan of your channel and have hope that I'll see Oskayi Island soon, it'll be awesome.
I find that creating attractive characters to be the easiest kind of character to design. I find making normal/un-attractive characters the most difficult to make since you need them to be flaws but not ugly in a mean or disgraceful manner. Which is why most people go for the perfect attractive looking cast.
chester801 I agree but I like how you have a wide range of body types that aren't all six pack Alejandro looking males or perfect Lindsay looking females. Also I know we just got this audition but any idea who's audition we'll see next..?
The next audition will be Isabella's. Somebody who came in to audition for Kimberly turned out to be perfect for Isabella instead so I cast her as Isabella right then and there.
I’ve actually been there before! My dad always wants me to wear clothes to cover my whole body! He never lets me wear short stuff! And he constantly wants to be with me and is always on my back!
Building design in the TD is one of my weak points, I need to practice building design in the style a little more before I tackle designing the camp. I got an idea of how I want it to look and such I just need a little more time before I can properly create the camp how I want it to look.

I watched season 1... But season 2 and 3 didn't catch my eye. I watched Revenge of the Island and Pahkitu (however the heck you spell it) Island. I enjoyed those a bit but I'm still not a huge fan of the show... Hopefully this season is really good and brings something to the table that I'll enjoy. I'd love to enjoy the show again.
Well I'm glad you wanna see more Total Drama but I think you're comment is better directed to Fresh TV the creators of the show. This is an idea I've been working on to pitch to them as an official season and I'm just working on some proof of concept material at the moment. My idea might become a part of the official Toal drama franchise but we'll have to wait and see.
Yeah, I just looked into it because I was confused on what was going on. This looks very nice, and I was intrigued because of it. The whole reason I'm here is because a video was randomly in my recommended and stated that a season 8 was coming soon. Then I saw this and immediately assumed it _was_ for season 8... Hopefully the real season 8 will be good enough for me to want to watch it. Thanks for replying
Well I find that most of my filmed videos start off as one topic and spew out into multiple tangents and I end up scrapping most of them. A better use of my time would be making the audition videos. Plus I'm gearing up to pitch my shows to the new studio I work at so having some proof of concept and demonstration videos might help me during the pitch.

Michael Schriner Jesse Gil does have a pivotal role in most of my storylines, I truly found a fascination for his character while developing the series. He was the first character I ever designed and his presence in my writing is very prominent. I treat Jesse Gil like the hero Total Drama deserves, the show has an outstanding cast of villains but the hero characters are far from reaching the greatness of the villains. When writing the series, yes, things seem to be all around him, but his greatness strives from his ability to make the other heroes around him great, and expand on them. It might seem like everything is about Jesse Gil but I use him heavily as a crutch to make other characters better and push them into the lime light. A little piece of Jesse Gil is left inside all of those he meets and we see their lives bettered for meeting him. While other characters grow up to Jesse Gil's level we see him develop in other ways and deal with his own problems. So it might seem like a lot of my series is based around Jesse Gil but he's often pushing somebody into the lime light when it's happening. I can understand the worry Total Drama isn't The Jesse Gil Show, but I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised when they see how Jesse Gil acts and how he deals with problems as a hero of the series.
