70 years old vet here. I am at week 6 right hip replacement recovery. My VA hospital has done a steller job operating and getting me to week 6. I won't have a progress appointment for another 2 weeks. love the "tongue in cheek" yet highly informative info in this video.
Mike and Alex did a great job. 7 weeks post for me. I scared myself last week when I 'over did it' and had sore spots the next day. Good to hear that a bit of muscle soreness and using the cane for a day is not unheard of. I will be cautious from now on. Thank you.
I love your style and humor. Don’t listen to the haters! The quality of instruction combined with your lighthearted nature is why I watch these videos!
Love you guys, your channel made a huge difference in my life after the hip surgery in October, now I can do all the exercises without any problems...thank you 💙
I'm at 7 weeks now im a 47 year old male Vet and walking about 3 to 4 miles a day pain free been doing the single leg lifts on a cushion and managed 30 seconds
I've had mine replaced a month ago. Going great. I'm 4 weeks past op, feeling a lot better. Not got my walking correct yet but feel so much better than pre surgery. Good luck :)
I really like your professional video, very much enlightening. But please kindly advise if all the exercises should keep the angle between the upper and lower parts of the body less than 60 degrees? Thanks in advance.
I am at my 6 weeks after hip replacement surgery , I love your videos, I still using my cane , but basically I left the walker .. Some days I still feel same pain …. I guess , it is ok 👍
Five was in. Unassisted in all ways now. Unfortunately! It’s nice to be served. Kidding, dependency debilitates, daily I’m building strength and “normal” has returned to her home. Discontinued meds fully at three weeks. That helped!
I followed Bob & Brad through 2 x TKR and now have a hip replacement. It would be helpful if the questions/comments were replied to as they appear to be common questions.
Im in the UK and we do these exercises straight after surgery 🧐 I'm now 4 weeks out, walking mostly unaided. Cooking, cleaning etc..Im cycling 15 mins once a day... Sitting up and down off a chair, step ups. Banded crabs. Balance exercises unaided. Though ive been a trainer all my adult life so maybe that has all stood by me. I just now need to be able to put on my own socks lol...
I still have restrictions on bending, so can't put on the ankle weights without help. Do you have suggested exercises with resistance bands or other options? Thank you for the videos!
9 weeks pain in groan and ach but side of hip. My leg not fully recovered I use my Walker and cane I use it at home. I walk some without anything but still pain.
I really need your help 😮 My father in 92 had replacement hip surgery 4 days ago My question is what kind of exercises are good for him Many thanks from Tehran Iran❤

I understand that at week 6 you can't cross your operated leg over your good leg so I was wondering if you could please tell me how I can stretch my glutes on my operated leg? I had a posterior hip replacement.
I've had both of my hips replaced., one at age 35 and the other at 42. I would have trouble doing most of these exercises. I'm still in constant pain even though the surgeries were years ago.
@@cbryce9243 get a nuclear bone scan. I had my left hip done 2 1/2 years ago and still have pain in my thigh and grown. Had surgery on my right hip four weeks ago and this one feels a lot better. Go get that bone scan. Sometimes x-rays won’t show loosening or other issues.
Sorry to hear that. I am quite satisfied n grateful that my thr right side just 2 months ago went smoothly n with not much pain except for 4 days post op but it’s only for few minutes n rates it at 6. Mostly when I get up in the morning, after one week I was going out n driving after 2 weeks. I did the anterior approach. The lip hip is next. Due to severe osteoarthritis. I am 67. Recovered fast but still cautious with my movements to avoid fall/dislocation. Hope your case gets better n pain will completely go away.
@@hoosierbaddy3052TKR is way more painful than THR (a ton of scar tissue with TKR wanting to restrict movement and you have to battle every day to break through - THR is more movement restrictive for the first 6 weeks and frustrating having to sleep on your back)
