Total solar eclipse emerges from behind clouds in Nebraska 

The moment that the totality ends and the light starts peaking back through was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen

It's such a simple thing. Highly predictable and extremely well understood. No factual mystery to it, but for some reason it impacts us so deeply. Something about it inspires feelings that can't be put into words.

The excitement of seeing the total eclipse in Beatrice was magnified exponentially because it was cloudy and nearly overcast most of the day. I'd nearly prepared myself for the possibility of missing totality entirely when suddenly, "there's your corona!"
