I don't ever expect perfection with systems like this, but that's just ridiculous.

Forza: a series so rampant with rammers to the point where they are actively rewarded for ramming.

Things like that is why racing games need *functional* ingame reporting system. It's not even hard to make one: give players option to download server replay after a race, which can be used to review race, so they put timestamps on it to back their reports. Included telemetry data would also make it very easy to confirm or refute cheating reports. Also, obvious cases of intentional ramming should carry penalties that hurt, like MP bans that get longer every time you repeat offense shortly after previous ban expires.

That was such a great battle with that M3. So many switcheroo's.

The same thing happened to me, I got a penalty of 4 SECONDS because I was rammed :/ I legit like the game a lot, but I'm considering to wait until the penalty system is ironed out a little bit because as it stands for now, it just isn't fun to race online.

And nothing for him. Pain.

Really hope someone at Turn10 sees this because these kinds of penalties are absolutely unacceptable. He VERY obviously turned into you on purpose.

This is like need for speed. Like I swear, every time I race someone and take the lead, they get mad and just slam into me and throw my car off the track for the entire race and then say they “beat me”. And if I still beat them they get mad and start trying to wreck my car afterwards in free roam.

Yep same thing happened to me. Got rammed going into a corner, spun out, crashed into the barrier, went from 6th to last. Got a 4 second time penalty.

Have they implemented a report system for people that do that intentionally? Like you can select a section of the race where you were intentionally rammed and after a manual review the rammer gets major penalties to their game, eventually leading to a permanent ban from online races.

Yeah this is driving me mad atm too. Just in a forza gt race. Guy divebombs me into corner, no attempt to stop, punts me off and I got an avoidable contact penalty and a track limits penalty. I gad zero control. They need to sort this s**t out

Had this happen to me last night. Guy went off track due to having 2 wheels on the grass out of corner and then just drove right into me. I got 4 second penalty for that. I ended up quitting in rage. The race before, I was on the podium.

The one time I played project cars 3, someone tried to do this to me and I was able to just turn into them and stay on track then hit my brake point while they continued off track. That game was terrible, but the multiplayer was actually fun and you didn't have to deal with all these problems. It was simple racing, was it realistic? no. Did we all forget that video games are supposed to be fun and enjoyable? whatever they're releasing now isn't a video game, it's some soulless money making product.

How did the rammer suddenly get 2nd a moment before the race ends after you passed them a couple turns back when they were at least 5th at that point?

So from what I've seen, the best tactic to dishing out penalties as a rammer is to hit the car in a way that your own goes off track as well, but you control the steer so you juuuust barely recover

This is a big problem with their system at the moment - I think the penalty system strongly relies upon game inputs at the moment of contact, and when it sees one driver going straight ahead, foot to the floor, and the other braking and turning, it assumes the second player is attempting to avoid the collision, and the first player is doing the ramming, regardless of actual track position.... There's a lot of players gaming the penalty system right now as well - like turning hard right across the track as soon as the race starts, which they know will nearly always land the player behind them a 2.25 second penalty immediately when the inevitable crash happens

This happened to me about a week ago. I got a 4.5 second penalty for it. Was it really worth it for the person in third place to ruin not only your race but theirs too instead of them losing one position? It’s weird. Edit: just saw that they drove off and kept their position. Never mind 😅

2 wheels on the grass in a crowded turn one: ,8 second penalty. Rammed into barrier: 3.5 second penalty. The only way I could play this game is by using the ramming strategy so many others use. Ram as many as you can and let the time penalties move you up finishing order board. If you have the skill to ram them off the course, you'll benefit from the very large time penalty your victim receives. Warm up for Forza by playing Burnout for 10 minutes. Releasing this game with this kind of defect is criminal. Turn the contact penalty system off until you fix it.

Same penalty hit`s me a couple of days ago. Next race a rammer push the car next to me in my car and was spinning around - 1.5 seconds. After that I had an A rating. I´m back to S now but it`s this penalty system is really a joke.

Bad players ruining the game, is a fact working for every online multiplayer game that exists. They don't know how to play properly, thats leads to frustration, and then they troll and ruin everything. And if the game allow to speak, they blame you, or guys saying nothing just trying to enjoy the game the few they can play it after work or when they have time for it, this is frustrating ...

Don't forget. Penalty system perfectly fine, don't need changes, fair, and make proper punishment for unfair players. This was told to me by Forza net mods on idwas about penalty system changes. Cool, wreckfest game. After being Forza Motorsport player from first game, today i left it forever. Even Forza Horizon is better than this sh*t. No joke, last push was today. Custom lobby, Silverstone on heavy rain with the Prototype classes. God, this was the worst nightmare ever! Car was sliding left and right, it was impossible to keep on track, and the players... I felt like the war scene just with cars from the "Lord of the rings" movie. I never ever want to do race like that. So, i choose to leave Forza Motorsport, and forget forever. Respect to everyone who can survive these races, and still play the game. Truly, wish all of you fun, and exciting races, but not because rammers. Peace everyone ✌️

I went from S to B safety rating, 9/10 times I got hit and spun out, then the other 1/10 is by hitting someone from behind who goes on the brakes at a ridivulous point. Note, if I wouldn't have gotten ran off before I wouldn't be behind that person to begin with...

I've had this happen multiple times in multiplayer mode... Game has some serious issues with how penalties are given out... They need to fix it... I see people smashing others off the road, end up in first place with 2.75 seconds worth of penalties when they should have had way more... Penalties need to be stricter and your car should go invisible and slow down like in Forza 5 when you went off track and hit a wall

And this is why I play single player only.

Yeah this is so annoying. Rage quit a few races cuz of me getting penalties for other people's shit driving. But typically it's not a big deal; if you drive clean in the next race the safety rating basically stays the same

Penalty system is so broken, I got rammed and yeeted into a wall, I got an offtrack off 2.7 seconds and a collision penalty for 4.4 seconds... It's a joke

ComradeCrack383 got yeeted off the game in the last lap there, lol. Yeah the penalty system sometimes shits itself immensely. Especially on things happening on the straight. In the corners however, it looks to be working 'more correctly' against rammers.

I'm very disappointed, I hope they do something about it.
