I don't get the childrage in the comment section .... the developers explicitly .... and repeatedly stated: 1 ) - that *Total War: Warhammer* will be a trilogy. Three parts. Combined they will be one game. Basicaly 1 game, 2 standalone-expansions. 2 ) - that simultanously they are working on a historical title for after they're done with Warhammer. and for good measure, because people are stupid AF 3 ) - it's a tribute to the franchise because Games Workshop has abandoned it for good. So at least *try* to behave like adults .... jesus .... christ ....

as a non Warhammer 'fanatic', a total newbie to the Warhammer lore and an old school historical total war junky I gave it a shot and enjoyed Warhammer total war very much. It opened a total new fantasy world for me which I'm really enjoying and constantly wanting to learn more about.. so I'm pretty excited for the new game!

A magical battle between Mazdamundi, Teclis and Malekith? Better assemble the whole Imperial Explorers Institute because a lot of maps will have to be redone.

It's funny coming back to this trailer and seeing all the dislikes, I bet a lot of 14k dislikes have tried the game and got hooked/became HUGE warhammer fans

31,000 likes and 13,000 dislikes... why? This game has been spectacular, the only downside has been the very high price with DLCs. This trailer is terrific. Extremely well done and gets me very psyched for the game. Are people seriously that butt hurt about it not being a historical title? Seriously, get over it, get over the fact that there's magic and dragons in it and enjoy the game, it is their best by a far margin. The tactics are all there, just enjoy it.

The REAL next Total War game: Warhammer Fans vs Historical Fans. Honestly it's amusing to check back every 10 mins or so and see how the comments have developed. lol But on another note I'm just glad to see more Total War, and while enjoying this title I'll look forward to what the historical team produces next as well.

There are two studios working. One for warhammer, one on historical titles. So all just calm down and read the facts, it's all gonna be fine. :D

Creative Assembly has made it quite clear that they won't be done with Warhammer until all 16+ Armies are in the game, released in 3 titles that can all be combined to be able to play all factions in a single, ultra campaign. Then they'll go fully back to Historical, although they already have one in the works with a different team it's nowhere near ready for announcement yet. Anyone who thinks that CA could have released all 16+ Armies in one title has no idea how much effort, time and money it takes to make a game and are being completely unrealistic. CA is doing something completely unprecedented with having ALL the Armies from the tabletop in game, more unique factions THAN ANY OTHER STRATEGY GAME IN HISTORY! Most Strategy games have either up to 4 unique factions with their own mechanics, animations and asymmetrical game-play. Or about a dozen or so factions that use most of the same units, with different bonuses and 1 or 2 unique units per faction (Civilization series, Age of Empires 1 and 2,) Total War historical has generally straddled the line between these two. Total War Warhammer 1 shipped with 5/6 unique factions (though most of Bretonnia used existing animations and was only playable in custom battles) and has 8 now that all the DLC have been released (with Bretonnia being a fully fleshed out faction with unique units with their own custom animations etc) The only game that has more than that is another Warhammer game, or more specifically Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War 1 with all expansions While I'm a bit dubious about the title of this release, since Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm isn't called Starcraft III, and Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void isn't called Starcraft IV. CA seemed to be applying the same basic Principle here, though granted none of the Starcraft II releases had their own DLCs. Then again there are only 3 major races in Starcraft. Also pissed off at the lack of Naval Combat, really hoping that becomes a DLC or something.

to the history people out there, Total War said this in a post on Facebook..."We understand that a lot of our historical fanbase aren't interested in our fantasy releases :) That's why we have a historical team working on our next release right now, it's just not ready yet."

Its funny when everyone bashes on them for making warhammer 2 before the historical titles, but the fact is that Warhammer has sold more then any other Total war in the entire series. Besides, splitting this game into releases that come out years after another would make no sense as all the 3 games they intent to make should in theory be 1 total war game, but its so large and varied that they would never be able to finance that without splitting it up since there are so many different animations etc to create for each different faction. There are multiple teams within CA working on different things so please let them work their magic and if you dont like warhammer then just dont buy it and wait for the next historical title that will hopefully be better then what rome 2 was. ..... as none of the historical games have been good since shogun 2, Rome 2 was a gigantic flop and attila an attempt to fix that which was ok at best. I've played Total war since shogun 1 and Warhammer is possibly their best total war game so far in my opinion (rome 1 and medieval 2 rivaling it), just from diversity in units and factions. And the release was smooth with very few errors, bugs and other bullshit.

I have a feeling the next historical total war game is going to be on a new engine, hence why it is taking so long to come out. They have two teams working on the two Total war franchises, so its not like the historical one is getting pushed back for warhammer.

Too all the people bitching and complaining about either the "other" side of the fanbase or that this isn't a historical TW. 1. CA has stated that they have four different teams right now, one for Arena, one for Warhammer, one for the next historical one and one for a secret project. And the notion that the "true" or "hardcore" fans can't like TW:W. Please. No way the the fans of a history inspired fantasy setting (in which you command entire armies) that had a mod for medieval II could ever be fans of a game set in historic time periods that revolves mainly around commanding entire armies. I have played since Rome 1 and still warhammer is the best game they have ever made, and it's the game I have hoped would happen years before they even announced it. Warhammer is great, if you like the game then great, you will get even more warhammer. If you don't like it, great, Warhammer II will generate a lot of sales and therefor money, that will proberly help make the next historical one (which they are working on atm, even better)

The irony is that TW hasn't had the option to set up a 3 man free-for-all since Rome.

Was an avid fan of medieval 2 ss6.4. Until i bought this bad boy off steam. I played for like 2-3 hours as morathi on vortex campaign. At some point i alt-F4’d, shelled another 150 euros to get wh1 and all the dlcs. Best spent 200 euros ever. 1500 in-game hours later and a fuckton of mods added, i still can’t think for a single moment “enough of this game”. I often find myself alt-tabbing and reading the lore for hours and hours at a time before remembering that a minimized masterpiece is waiting for me. Best total war ever, sorry medieval 2 my love.

I was completely okay with shitting on the first TW: Warhammer because of the awful Chaos day one DLC, but the amount of dislikes is completely unjustified this time. People really love to whine.

Look at the like and dislike ratio. People were judging this game top harshly before it even came out. Now if we take a look at Warhammer 3 trailer video we can see a mostly positive reaction. Warhammer total war series has knocked it out of park for sure. Best strategic game trilogy I've ever seen.

I think this trailer deserves that all those tht disliked the moment it was announced, go back to this trailer and change dislike to like, because this game is a peak for this genre of games so far in history id say. I love how "true"total war fans think that CA's current actions are out of the ordinary with releasing a stand alone expansion/sequel a year after the base game... like this never happened with Rome (followed up with Barbarians and Alexander), Medieval II (followed up with kingdoms), Empire (followed up with Napoleon) and so on til the latest historical installments! Never! Seriously take your nostalgia glasses off! Also the historical total war fanbase has crossed into fanaticism.
