Sin SinaT It would be neat if the different races and advisors had their own plot element to it. For Greenskins the goblin vies for himself to become the new boss. The human guy for the empire and Brettonia works alongside chaos to take over the world. For the vampires there is a vampire underling that is secretly a servant of Natash. So on and so forth. Overall something with a bit more meat and plot interest. For the end game depending on the race.
I like the idea that whenever there’s one of these really smart war bosses around, they’re just constantly frustrated with the Orcs and their stupidity.
Grimgor must have been in a suprisingly good mood in this clip. I mean with his track record of goblin stomping, I am suprised of how long he let that grot talk.
I think this was Grimgor realizing his 'adviser' was becoming too bold, trying to call the shots by 'recommending' targets. He might be an Ork but he's a smarter Ork.
Orks in 40k and Fantasy Battle are generally not too bright, but every now and then, just like with any race, there are geniuses. Grimgor Ironhide, Ghazghkull Thraka, etc
@Chase Moore and Skarsnik ;). To be frank it is kinda "lore unfriendly" he would let the goblin to even start talking to him in 1on1. Can't imagine the goblin would even dare unless he would be incredibly stupid, it is emphasized that other Greenskins fear Grimgore and he hates Goblins (because they "talk too much" as one of the reasons) and dislikes regular Orks. He only respects black orks and even those prefer to keep distance from him, lol.
Grimgor could hate goblins more due to the fact they are more closer to their other cousins the hobgoblins then the orks. So he would have natural disdain since they just remind him of his times as a slave to the chaos dwarves.
this trailer is actually symbolic, the goblin represents the consumer who want to take over the world and the orc is CA who say you are limited and can only fight 1 faction
This trailer did remind me of that ther orc trailer though But *GRIMGOR IS DA BEST! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH* Zog da puny horde. Dey got nothing to match against da GREEN TIDE OF WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH
Well, I'm certainly looking forward to this. I just hope they don't screw it up like the last Rome Total War game they did, but as I've learnt from the WH40K universe "Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment" As for the whole "thumbs down for pre-order DLC" thing, if you really want to send them a message; DON'T PRE-ORDER
Many months ago I got Grimgor's miniature for 5 euros. I loved painting it. When I heard that this 'little guy' was going to be in the game I got so hyped...
+krish698 You can't, except that it sounds cheesy, Total War is a game series and Warhammer stands at its own. If the series were called Warlords and the game they wanted to make was about Lord of the Rings, should they call it Warlords of the Rings ?
krish698 You don't have to even as a joke my point still stands cause i've seen people actually want this title. Not trying to cause an argument, it's difficult to see agression over the internet ! :P
Wyvern riders are believed to be a canceled unit in warhammer total war for the greenskins, now only two generals in the game can actually ride wyverns but as you can see in the trailer there are multiple, the reason for this was because they likely wanted the greenskins to have poor flying units as one of there weaknesses, as they really can bring anything but flying units in a battle
Speaking three years hence, I have to wonder why so many dislikes. Love this Total War game, although I have to admit I still think Chaos need a revisit, I kinda feel like I got what I wanted for Chaos from the Norsca. Hoping we see Chaos Daemons in the next game, but even so, I love this game series. First campaign I played was as Mannfred Von Carstein, was a hell of a learning curve and took me hundreds of turns but man when I eventually won that campaign, I remember it to this day. It was a real slog, but so worth it, recently completed a Dark Elves vortex campaign and had a lot of fun playing that too. I don't think I've had this much fun playing a strategy game like... ever.
I played as Grimgor in my first campaign back in 2016. And by Gork (or Mork) i'm gonna make Grimgor Da Biggest and Da Baddest next week in Immortal Empires. WAAAAARRRRGHHHHH!!!!!
They used the nurgle voice actor for the old ones in wh2. The same woman who does the tyranid voices does some of the tomb king recruitable heroes too.
"Evverfing I see is mine. All da uvver bits too - I just ain't got der yet. When we reach de end of da world, we'll turn around and march back." - Grimgor Ironhide
Honestly, if the DLC is QUALITY, as in. adds new, fleshed out factions+units and play styles. and maybe brings a new play style to the campaign, I truly don't mind the DLC. but that's only if the DLC is QUALITY.
Want to know a game that succeeded without any day 1 DLC, or preorder bullshit? Skyrim. I dont recall Bethesda having to do anything like that, they just said "Hey we are making a new Elder Scrolls game." and we said "Shut up and take my money!" The Empire, Chaos, Orks, Dwarves and Eldar would be good starting races, and blood should be available at the start without DLC. A Warhammer game without blood, isnt a Warhammer game plain and simple. DLC races should be Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Ogres, Tomb Kings, Chaos Dwarves, Brettonians, Chaos Beasts, Daemons of Chaos. Each with their own campaign. You cant half ass a Warhammer game. Despite many people doing so, but look at how those games did. To be honest, I think Warhammer fans are used to being dicked when it comes to prices, Warhammer is owned by Games Workshop after all.
+Jordan Smith Only after Sega proved its loyalty by sacrificing their purest (Rome:TW) to Chaos, did Games Workshop bequeath the trademarks of the Dark Gods unto Sega in which they made Chaos day-one DLC... Tzeentch is the CEO of Sega, i swear it!
+Jordan Smith Skyrim had loads of cut content in order to meet a deadline. A good amount of the stuff they promised was not only not DLC, it was never released at all. Remember the guild interactions? No? Makes sense because there WEREN'T ANY. My point is, you're gonna have to go back a ways before Skyrim to get to when games were actually worth what you paid. RE4 is a good example of a game worth its price.
I sure hope that since they're going to make us pay extra for the Chaos Warriors they make said warriors live up to the lore (the badasses who burned the world) and not like how they are in actual gameplay (squished by sheer numbers)
Anyone else remember when you used to be able to buy a game knowing that you actually have the FULL GAME, instead now you get about 60-70% of the game, having to get dlc for the rest
You know the meme that goes "fantasy fans always want to live in the world of their fantasy setting, save for Warhammer fans. Nobody wants to live in the Warhammer universe." I couldn't disagree more. I can't imagine anything more blissful than being an Ork in Warhammer.
*Crunching sound* Oh yeah, he just splattered the brains out of that goblin with that grip. *Drops down dead, the head is completely fine* ....ohyeah, I forgot to buy the Blood and Gore DLC for this video, ahdoy~
Grimgor's personality is all wrong, you made him an Ogre Tyrant rather then Grimgor. I felt Grimgor was an orc that had the serious crazy eyes, almost like a Khorne Beserker, he seemed to have a very active and intense personality. He was not stoic either, he bragged, taunted and talked quite a bit. Sometimes like a jibbering mad orc. My honest opinon is he did not need a mouth piece, the goblin could of asked him who is next, prompting Grimgor to kill him then and there, and turn to the mob of orcs and go. "whoz next? WHOZ NEXT?! UEVER I FEEL LIKE KILLIN' IS NEXT!!!" "IZ DA BIGGEST AND DA BEST! US BOYZ CAN KRUMP DA PUNY HUMIES, IN DERE FANCY CITIES AND DERE FRILLY MAGIC BOYZ! OR DA STUNY BEARD GITZ AND DERE SHINY GUNZ! WEZ DON'T NEED GUNZ! WE GOTZ OUR CHOPPAS!" "But dem spikey boyz look like a gud fight dun they? Much bigger den regular humies. BUT NOT BIGGER DEN US!!" "WE CAN DUFF EM ALL OVER! WEZ DA ORCS AND WEZ GONNA CRUSH EM WIV OUR.....*deep breath* WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGH!" Thats another thing, his waaagh seemed off to me, it should of been like he should bellow it our with all his breath rather then a steady, deep and not that loud roar.
Do you even know him? Grimgor is the guy that slaughter his troops if there is no one to fight, and he hates goblins so makes sense that he didn't said anything. If one of his personal body guards (The inmortals) was in the place of that goblin, he would said what you wrote down. This is Grimgor, he is the personification of Gork (or possibily Mork), he is a beast, he wants blood and destruction, nothing else
+Joshua Andrea Well true that. But it shows which games people like and which games people dislike. I think gamespot will know we disliked warhammer. I don't know... gamespot is fine by me though.
It looks like Grimgor's left tusk gave him that scratch over his left eye and put it out. So he had the right tusk removed to prevent the same accident from ever happening again.
+OGTheDemon This is not a business tactic that anyone should support. It's like if Bethesda released Skyrim and said, "All the races are in the game but if you want to play as a Breton, you have to pay us". Some things should not have to be DLC, especially if it's something that's already in the game and can be accessed immediately. There's a right and wrong way of doing things and this is right up there with Oblivion horse armor. If you want player support for DLC, make it meaningful and worthy, don't just chop your game up and demand a ransom. No matter how good looking this game is, it's a shitty move and I'll wait for it to be 90% off on Steam. It's not like I'm in a rush, I have a large backlog, as in the wise words of Thranduil to Thorin, "I'm patient. I can wait!"
+John Doe I agree that it shouldn't have been a DLC but if you think this is up there with the Oblivion horse armor then I respect your opinion but highly disagree. Its an entire faction with different units and playstyles, not humans slapped on with barbed armor.
Funny you say this, because that's EXACTLY what Bethesda did. Not in Skyrim, but in Elder Scrolls online, if you want to play as an imperial, you MUST buy the collector's edition of the game.
As we said shitty move. And thats k because Imperials where part of the enemy group that time and it is an online game unlike Syrim. The chopping policies has to end.
+Shakduhn ESO was not developed by Bethesda. They own the franchise's license, but Zenimax were the company who made it. Having said that, Bethesda still held major clout over the game and it's release. So if they had of had any objections it would have changed.
Remember when Grimgor became the champion of Gork (or possibly Mork) walked over to Archaeon and headbutted him because he was DA BEST and Archaeon cried because he was being bullied and he's demon daddy had to help him?
This trailer also showed that the Chaos Warriors were going to be a DLC instead of an initial faction in the game (despite being already developed) unless you preordered it or buy during the first 15 days, so people got mad at the fact that CA was cutting content from a finished gaming only to make them pay for it later
@@marcus4046 I don't think Orcs seek out easy targets or difficult challenges rather than just, opponents, I think they probably prefer tougher opponents if possible. What do you think?
