Honestly, your channel and the Warhammer videos you post are basically TV to me. I'll watch your campaigns while I eat my breakfast or while i'm getting ready for work in the morning. Granted RU-vid doesn't like long videos so I get why your trying to fight the algorithm but I for one really like your content and i'll follow it to either channel you post it on. Here's hoping you get the results you're hoping for.

@MonsterAbound The discussion on money, the issue is that you are overlooking is they have additional types of currency. Raw materials, armaments, and laborers. Oh and conclave influence. All of that in addition to the normal currency. Other factions can make more money sure, but the Chaos Dwarves don't use gold to upgrade their settlements. Much of their currency comes from raiding and conquest. Yes, their economy isn't as solid as dwarves, but perhaps it is a push to rely on raiding and conquest as a means to maintain their armies.

I haven't been making all my money through buildings, (enough to upkeep my armies, basically), I've been making it sacking places. If you get 3k gold and 600 labour from the fight and & sack, that's actually 7.5k gold if you sell the labour - do that a few times and you are golden.
@hunterdelta1585
@hunterdelta1585 Год назад
What I have noticed, it is useful to remember to sell off an extra 200 slaves from every overstocked province now and then. 1500 gold as default, and a late industrial tech makes it2250 gold. Your port buildings also boost the percentage money you make from the factory building Refinery chain, so in theory, ole Ku'gath's island vacation home could pump out a decent chunk of money. But raw number wise, without looking too much into it, I agree, the regular dorfs have a more hands off economy that makes just as much if not more than you do. Also, I decided to be a greedy chorf and monopolize caravans, and raid any cathayan ones that go through my territory. Holy hell, they give a base of 500 labour per! Plus a couple hundred extra captives from the battle itself?! o.O Cha-ching!

Honestly I've had the easiest time with my Drazhoath coop campaign with a friend of mine. In 60 turns or so I've got an income of 15000 gold, 4000 materials and 1400 armaments and that's just what's actually coming in netto, and with 5 armies or so. I find playing extremely aggressively actually helps you steamroll extremely fast with this campaign.
@adriltythorin6702

One important consideration about money is that you have provinces overloaded with excess 'interns'. Once a turn you can extract 1500 gold from each province so long as you have the workers available. You can easily be adding 1500 or 3000 extra a turn to your money on average. Plus of course the regular dwarf building you were comparing it too was tier 4 - they're the only race which gets money and resource buildings at tier 4. The standard tier 3 dwarf money building is 400, which is a more favourable comparison.
@LostGerbil
@LostGerbil Год назад
The thing with the dwarf vs chaos dwarf comparisons you're doing is the dwarf 600 income is a tier 4 building, non capitals can only build ones making 400 each so chorfs can make about 1200 gold extra in a 4 region province. Even so this is still weaker though due to needing a outpost province supporting it though I do think chorfs get more income multipliers. Also if you build the outpost money building in supporting 4 region province then between the 2 provinces you get the dwarfs making 5040 between the settlement buildings and toolmakers while the chorfs make 6150 gold (assuming a tower in both provinces).

Subscribed to the supplemental channel. You and RuinousInsight provide a stupid amount of content for me so I'm more than happy to play the youtube game for ya. As a thought, you could also use the 12 episode test to try out weird mod faction campaigns, and then if you aren't feeling it, just stop after the 12 are done?

With regards to the economy and the gold refinery; it depends on what you need. Do you need more armies to expand or defend? You're going to need more money. Do you need more mats to build tall and develop your settlements? You're going to need more mats. There is no right or wrong way to play chorfs; there is only the most efficient and the less efficient. There is a general consensus that early game you want to prioritize materials over armaments for expansion.

To be fair to Grimgor. He desperatley needed a play to crash, and you had this badly defended place with no armies nearby. Probably the one that bought him the most time.

Also, look at it this way. The Chaos Dwarfs made Grimgor and his Black Orcs. They're like his parents in a way. So of course, he grows up, you get into some fights, and then you head out into the world on your own. But when you are evicted from your apartment, is it that strange that you go back to your parents to sleep on the couch for a bit? No. Anyway, I'm sure you'll find a place for them. As an intern somewhere.

The fact that you don't need money (or population) to upgrade cities affects the burden on your finances as well. Its not a simple as a straight numerical comparison.

Once I get my armament production up, I can cargo-trade it for huge cash. Granted, I'm playing normal difficulty, so my caravans are probably having an easier time of it on the way to their destinations. Edit: also I'm playing the Realm of Chaos map. Wonder if it's easier to keep the caravans safe on that map.

No, it's not just you :P To me, the whole Economy feels off. When I compare it to any other Campaign (even Kugath and Snikitch), this one takes forever to get going. I thought that it might be linked to CA complaining that most people only play a Campaign to turn 60-90. So this time they start the Fun at that point to keep you in for more turns xD At turn 30 I was 12 hours in and said F* this, I get out the good old Cheat Engine ^^ Now it's better!

Another RU-vidr I watch (also British as it happens) did something like this too: the main channel to abide by RU-vid's esoteric & ever changing nonsense, & a second channel where he can upload playthroughs for games that might not bring the monetisation. Hope this works out for you!

The only campaigns where I tend to lose interest are the absolute steamrolls where like with Festus I REALLY enjoyed him I may rewatch that series. At a certain point though it's just kinda samey or like with Kairos where mods essentially broke the lizardmen and made Itza spawn six thousand armies. Legendoftotalwar seems ok though I do feel he lets chat get under his skin a bit too much which can be rather off putting to watch, still I do watch his content from time to time. I MUCH prefer channels like this though where content is around the 45m-1h mark as it's easier to digest and something I look forward to. I did try to do the patron thing but idk for some reason patreon wasn't working for me so I didn't get it to work, if I do though I'd gladly support your work... partly because I enjoy how you tackle campaigns but mainly for the editing style. edit: off topic but I really hope CA addresses the player bias because like you've said many times it removes player agency, you'd LOVE to invade somewhere new but can't due to factions saying "We'll be best buds till he's dead". :p
