Imagine following your leader into battle, but before you even reach the first line you see your lord being picked up by a freaking huge angry daemon and squeezed like an orange. "I suggest we advance backwards"
That's the point of him calling his father's teachings foolish AS we watch a dozen Kislevites get ripped to bloody pieces. It's painful how many people have missed that, and will continue to miss that.
Take that one with PEGI. But I do agree with them. It is different seeing blood then seeing it leave a human or elf or whatever's body, due to dismemberment, beheading, and all that gore.
I know right, and who is insane enough to 1v1 Skarbrand, the guy who should be fought with multiple units of anti-large (preferably with Armour-piercing) after being focused fired by every artillery and all Armour-piercing ranged units in the army.
Faithful...enlightened...ambitious...brethren. In but a single decade, a few mere swipes of the pendulum, we have gathered a sacrifice to Khorne that will be made legend. Thought it was a simpler, weaker voice that illuminated me during my centuries upon the Judgement of Carrion...it was Khorne's messenger who showed me the true path of freedom from our pathetic corpse-Emperor. And what is this path? This meaning, this purpose to which we gather the skulls of our foes? It is nothing. There is no meaning, no purpose. We murder. We kill. It is mindless savagery. This universe if MINDLESS. In mere hours, billions will die. Innocent. Guilty. Strong and weak. Honest and deceitful. ALL of them. They will scream, they will burn, and for no purpose but that the mighty Khorne may revel in their bloodshed. And united in this void of purpose, fear, or duty...we shall at long last be FREE! Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne! LET THE GALAXY BUUURN!
@@user-zp4ge3yp2o you're telling me. It was wrong on every level. Playing khorne with no blood is like playing the empire and allying the skaven or warriors of chaos. It just shouldn't happen
Finally, you know how weird it is to see bloodless battles with khornate factions? Really weird; also I love how the spotlight was on the khornate daemons instead of the Kislevites.
@@kennethflaming8606 same with the Warden and the Paunch trailer. I really don't understand why they won't use it, as the vanilla soundtrack is kinda meh
I hope it will be possible to regulate the amount of ketchup flying out of the bots, because when a minotaur crushes Kislevite and it bursts like a balloon filled with paint, it looks pretty ridiculous
@@matad1917 Remember - it's called a beta so the trolls and doomsayers will shut up about the game being dead. The game being polished for years after release is standard for the franchise. Anyone saying Warhammer 2 didn't release in a similarly poor state is either lying or suffering from Amnesia. But CA succeeded in polishing it into a fantastic game, and no doubt will do the same here.
@@TheRisingEagle93 when I hear this scream it turns any scene in any movie, any game, any show into BS. it really make the seriousness of the scene fade away.
@jacksparrow7474 I agree absolutely. No one in irl would scream like that. Also no one would scream when they're getting tossed like that since they won't be able to control the airflow from and to lungs.
Interestingly enough, i get more annoyed at the stupid hair-style of the Kislev-lord than the fact that you're still charging people for blood effects.
as much as i love the IP i still think selling a blood effect in a normally gory setting as an extra DLC (3 times) is a scummy move and deserves every criticism it can take
To be fair, they aren't selling blood 3 times, if you bought blood for 1 you get it for 2, and if you have 2 you get it for 3, it's a one time purchase Shouldn't be dlc tho
Really hoping for more new ways of blood and gore. Paying for a red sprite on characters and 2 or 3 dismemberments isn't as game changing as CA wants me to believe
But everyone probably bought it with the original Warhammer Total War and has therefore got access on each title going forward. It also allows them to release the game to a younger audience first.
@@elwray3506 really? Another response with no logical counter argument aside from sound bites? Really? Blood and violence are HUGE parts of war, whether people like it or not, as music is a huge part of video games.
@@berserk_xvi9552 Haven’t heard that before, but you’d still have to have bought one before. So it’s still not free. For clarity, I’m not one of these “just gimme stuff for free” people, but blood use to be a part of total war games, and now it costs extra. Looks sillier too really. That just shows a decline in quality service IMO.
These Blood DLC's i always feel should of been part of the base game, even more so with the 3rd one for Khorne. Will this be a free update or will it be a payed one, kind of feel it should a free update.
If I recall correctly, they couldn't have it as standard or even free as it messes up the release potential. So massively increased age restrictions or even out right banning in certain countries. By having it as a paid DLC you only need to restrict / ban the expansion and the base game can go through normally.
It’s for marketing reasons in other countries. M rated games get restricted HEAVILY outside of the US for blood & gore, so they package it as it’s own, separate DLC. It’s an annoying practice, but its understandable.
Trailer looks cool. Hopefully this doesn't tank frame-rate though. Even with a high end PC i noticed a good 10 to 15 drop in frame-rate in TWW2. Pretty sure I'm not the only one
Skarbrand is amazingly good about preserving the cranium, no matter how brutal he seems to be. He was very careful to step on the puny man so that his head remained between his toes, uncrushed. And when he obliterated the whole body, the head flew away unscathed. Gotta have those skulls, after all.
Finally I can play the game. After being so used to the blood dlc it just felt weird watching units bouncing around and looking squeaky clean during fights. It was immersion breaking.
i fully agree. played for like 150 hours but eventually the lack of feedback from battles sent me back to 2. playing ogres just belly bumping and lead belchers not deleting goblins made it feel so weak. i couldn't tell if my guys were missing or just not doing damage. need to see that blood xD
the most overused piece of audio in human history. it´s like EVERY single battle scenen in movie/games history needs to use it or they are not part of the cool kids. to me thats just a lack of creativity like "hey let´s do what everybody does, being original is hard, let´s play it safe!"
@@bidenonabender5903 I mean it's a little Easter egg and nod to THE most recognisable scream in Hollywood. How is it lazy? Or unoriginal? It doesn't add or take away anything, it's just there.
@@dragoxk4542 because everybody is using the same easter egg, it´s a simple but uncreative way to asure people will have positive feelings because they are able to associate with something they already knew befor. same reason why sequels of movies keep bringing in the old cast to cash in on memorie without actually doing something creative. memberberries...
Hope it has sliders, don’t enjoy the strawberry jam body paint, looks good in a trailer like this but gets old pretty quick. Personal opinion obviously. Love your work guys
YES! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! THIS IS WHAT I LOVE TO SEE! This makes me so damn psyched! This is the real Khorne experience. This is the real experience i have been waiting for. This is so great!
I like it, but i really hoped to see some animated corruption effects this time. Since this might be the last Total Warhammer for a while and has such a great rework for the Nurgle faction and plagues and corruption in general I Would have loved to see that in detail the same as blood.
"Sir! The demons are charging! Shall we eviscerate them with our gun and bow lines?!" "No you idiot! That's Khorne's guys and this the blood pack trailer!" "So we're basically being turned into fruit gushers?" *already being picked up by Skarbrand* "Yuuuuuuuupppppppp!!!!" Can't wait for this dlc and immortal empires. My angry man shall be so bloody.
Ah, CA keeps traditions in this, and made the blood DLC as clumsly and poorly as it was done for first and second game in the series. I was for moment worrying that this time it is actually well made, since it is last game in the series. Well, at least I am happy I do not need pay for that clumsy outcome once again, but get it free...
finally? "Blood for the Blood God" has been a DLC since the first game. If you bought it in the first, you got it for free in the 2nd. Assuming it'll follow the same trend.
I really hope we can tune how much blood we want in the settings. One hit and being painted in blood from head to toe is way too much. I'd like no blood, 25%, 50%, 75% and full blood type settings.
Are demons supposed to have blood? I guess for the game as a whole it makes more sense to make everything bleed, but I just kinda thought they were made of magic and either crumble to dust or were one solid mass until they went poof when they died.
Not really happy...You said you were releasing blood DLC later to allow for innovative blood DLC like never before. All that we see, almost disappearance of the beheadings of limbs and replacement by bodies which explode like a pool of blood. When you told to create an innovative dlc, I imagine a bloodthirsterr slicing bodies in half with his axe, limbs flying when swords hit a dying unit, execution animations other than just a smash of bodies... It's really poor
Looks incredibly stupid. Just like the old blood god dlc they are overdoing it, popping units like paint filled balloons and covering everything in red. Guess it's up to us modders to fix it again... As usual, thanks CA. You haven't learned anything from your old mistakes.
She is fine on realm of chaos. Campaign is shirt but fun. However in Immortal Empires it's hard to play her if you are trying to be lore accurate😔 She would never use Sorceres!! So I didn't in my immortal campaign.... Man I'll tell you, it was hard but also kinda boring after a while with absolutely ZERO spells being cast. Not only that but if you play lore accurate with no magic. Because she is WARRIORS OF CHAOS, she has very few Daemons to be recruited so you're just spamming the same armies with a slightly sprinkle of Daemons every now and then. If you're going to play Khorne in Immortal Empire play Skarbrand. Atleast that's what I'll do once I am done with my Ogre Kingdom Campaign
Total War: 1v1 ing a Greater Deamon of Khorne with a generic lord is a bad idea My absolutely broken generic lord: Give me several status effect buffs, one of those steroid potion items and a regiment of elite infantry, and I'll take him.
Even though i have the game already this is the true date of the game release for me. (No blood felt like i was purchasing an early access game and i felt insulted that they took 6 months to add gore to the game).
@@marcgw496 i mean you're right, and I i wish they had bothered to say that from the start. It really sucked being so hyped for this game, buying it when it came out, and then being so disappointed with how much was missing and having to wait half a year for any of that content.
The fact that we have to pay for blood effects is absolutely ridiculous, this is the only dlc that i'm not willing to buy, that being said the people that made the trailer did a really good job.
Clearly you are new to total war, their reasons for not including it on day 1 have been explained for over a decade now. Plus its only a single dollar lmao
@@johnmeskill4636 I won't pay for it no matter how cheap it is , I'm sure CA has it's reasons (like PEGI rating or maybe being a little greedy) , but I won't pay for it because I consider blood to be part of the warhammer setting where violence is everywhere . if I pay for the warhammer setting I should get the warhammer setting , not part of it . this is long due in my opinion.
@@naboost9485 well have fun saving your 3 dollars and not getting what you see as an integral part of the warhammer setting lol, everyone else will be getting it and enjoying themselves.
I'd argue endlessly complaining and nitpicking and never being able to enjoy anything is infinitely more soulless. You should try enjoying things once in a while. Nobody was murdered in the production of this franchise.
@@SleepyFen and I'd argue mindlessly consuming like a puppet is not enjoying something. Nevertheless the post is humorous you don't need to be offended so much by it .
Trailer is good, battle scenes cool, but honestly, why nobody talking about that soundtrack? Seriously, sounds better than that one from Chaos undivided
was expecting someone to be screaming at the top of thier lungs "blood for the blood god, skulls for the skull throne" the line fell super flat but great trailer overall
@@KristianKumpula The cinematic Cathay trailer was better, sure, but not the other Cathay trailers nor the Warden & the Paunch trailer (though the Joker reference with the goblin was neat).
its gone downhill with kill animations it looked great in the past dating back to medieval 2, shogun 2, and attila/rome which had some animations reused which was still good
Yep, all the Gods seem to do that to their greatest daemons like with Tzeentch throwing big bird into the Well of Eternity, Nurgle with that one guy in 40k who served him devotedly but Nurgle enjoyed him simply suffering from not being recognized by Him for no particular reason at all (afaik), Khorne with Skarbrand of course, Slaanesh with the Masque having to dance forever.
For God's sake when are you going to release WW1 & WW2 games? You are the best development studio in RTS games and you still haven't dealt with the two biggest and most important wars in human history. Give us Total War: The Great War & Total War: WW2 so we can't get up from the computer for the rest of our lives. I will write this comment on each of your youtube videos until you fulfill the wish of thousands of Total War fanatic gamers.
Finallyyyyyy, the game just didn't look right without it, the bloodbursty animations are cool. I wander how it will work for Nurgle units do they explode in a wave of green sludge and other body matter 🤢
Demons don't die like that in war hammer, note to didn't see anything in the trailer demons simply dissolve back into the detention from whence they came. Prepare to be disappointed.
@@via_negativa6183 Arrrr thats true they kinda just glow before being bashed back to the warp at present so prob wont change. Still think they should bleed when hit, blown up or charged into but.
Glad blood is coming back. When I see a khornate demon rip through a line of peasants, watching them just fall over doesn’t really have the same impact as watching them literally get ripped through. Makes me feel really bad for my front line, which is a plus in my book.
stop hiding this behind a paywall, this should have been in the game from the start. Having blood as an effect should be a basic thing in a war game, especially warhammer. And to add insult to injury we have so much blood already in Khorne´s domain and still you ask us to pay for it on the rest. If it is about a censoring effect for some countries or the likes just add the option in game to have it on or not, don´t hide it behind paid dlc. This is actually ridicolous that this is still happening in game 3 of the series.
Hey guys, just letting you know this is still super cringe. The rating excuse didn't fool anyone before and it still doesn't fly now. SHAME. SHAME. SHAME.
