the dlc content is looking real good but this video is in no way the best they have done. There was a million times more excitement and story in the chaos dwarf showcase than there is in this

@@alexandremiguel5408 Originally, there were going to be 4 books akin to The Throne of Chaos, each focusing on a different Son of Great Kurgan (who gave his 4 sons to the 4 gods of chaos in return for mortal power). Tamurkhan was originally intended to be the first, the blessed of Nurgle. At the end of the book, there's a (retrospectively) very sad author's note which describes how excited Bligh is for the other 3 parts, 3 other parts that ultimately never came out. This series of books would have been a soft End Times, and would have likely been far better received than the slap-dash garbage fest that was the real end times.

i really hope AI tamurkhan actually gets to be a real threat to nuln and not just chill around up there with three settlements

@@ogge9296 considering how far away he starts I doubt he'll ever be a real threat to Nuln in IE his RoC start position remains to be seen though if I had to bet his IE start was probably picked so that you could play out his full journey (Zambaijin->Black Fortress->Empire) while his RoC start will probably focus on his invasion of the Empi- nevermind, halfway through me writing this reply they announced his start positions. he starts in basically the same place (like 1 province over, which also puts him right next to Ku'gath) in RoC. he's probably never going to threaten Nuln because he's probably going to ally with Ku'gath meaning that he'll end up expanding in the exact opposite direction.

@@ogge9296 it definitely will, all chieftains will be unlocked by the ai probably, just like all legendary heroes are for other factions. As long as it embeds them into their army, they'll have a stupid strong force from turn 1.

@@Frederatorr IDK man, have you seen how the AI expands? It's like there's a limit to what they've been programmed at. AI Grimgor goes pretty nuts and I would like to see Tamurkhan kind of behave like him. Only then will he be a real threat to Nuln, which is a pretty tall order for AI expansion from the Chaos Wastes based on my experience.

Who knows, maybe they change the starting position of Kuhgath with the update

they kind of acknowledged it in the post about the faction yesterday too, basically giving a lore reason (he's too attached to his current body to be willing to swap it for another)

That's why thrones of delay took so long to get here, CA was doing a company wide scavenger hunt trying to find where the "survivors" were hideing to make them finish the dlc

I am buying Tamurkhan for generic Lord, hero and units. His Chieftain mechanic is a bit 'fun limited' - you can have limits of e. g. Blunderbusses in th army and even some Nurgle units like Rot Knights and Toad Dragon are limited to 3 and 1 respectively.

@@TheMrYadrian yeah, but chieftains probably buffs those units so u can enter alliance and get 4 more, so in the end you are mostly nurgle but having all kind of shady characters destroying empire to the ground

@@TheMrYadrian I think you can increase it using that new currency though? That 3 number is just the base units from the Chieftan. I think it works like how you increase special units with beastmen but correct me if I'm wrong.

@@travishurst3919 Actually I don't think so. It was shown in case of Chaos Dwarfs Blunderbusses that after getting 2 he couldn't buy more. Of course, if you look at Fealty progress then you can get one more +1 capacity for them and the rest of units but this really indicated that you can have limited number of them in your armies.

@@TheMrYadrian Nurgle units are not limited as you can see them in the military tree, the rot knights for example...The limit is only set for the special version of those units that can be recruited from the pool size
