The souls race really isn't a terrible campaign, and I'm pretty sure you know this as well, but anyone would get tired of it after being limited to it for so long. I'm sure people will be returning to it after a while of playing IE just like people occasionally do with the Vortex, though.

@@SleepyFen isn´t terrible... is that why the "deactiveat chaos gates mechanic" is one of the most used mods on the workshop, people were looking for a way around the stupid mechanic from day one and the mechanic was the main part of the campaing. peoples biggest complaint was that it isn´t a sandbox campaing at all, and thats what TW always was, a strategic sandbox game.

@@xShadowbane451 Well, to some degree I guess. They can present themself in any form they want. I just think that the way Azazel looks is the way people see him also. But even this imposing ugliness isn't enough to outweigh his attraction power. Maybe that's on purpose. Perhaps it entertains and challenges him. If he just made himself look pretty it'd be too easy. This is sort of reinforced by the way he's shown being completely bored at the ongoing battle, but as soon as challenging opponent arrives his eyes light up with excitement.

In the original material, his devotees are indeed ecstatic legions who, umm let's say "swoon" when they see him, and they literally see the most beautiful creature imaginable

I'm not sure they're using anything special other than dev cam, but that's easily unlocked by editing a .ini file or installing a mod.

WH3's release was unfortunate, but knowing how much they improved and expanded WH2 over the years I'm very optimistic for the future of the game.

@@Legatium I thought he was brilliant. And I can see him being either. A lot of letsplayers use scripts when they need to make something short and sweet like this. It's hard to tighten up a campaign video when you're actually reacting on the fly

until CA adds them there are always mods. there's a pretty good one that made new capture images for Cathay and Kislev, the monogod capture images are unfortunately just WoC and Norsca images with a coloured filter on.

@@srjt1684 problem with bretonia is that if you're born peasant you can't obtain the right to become a knight, i guess it is not loreful...

Getting rid of the pre-release narrator is the best decision they made imho, it made trailers literally unwatchable for me

They wouldn't give up on WH3 considering it's their main franchise capstone. The people who spread that negative nonsense for months never wanted a good game to begin with and genuinely just wanted the game to fail for their own amusement.

For now I wouldn't be surprised if that's just a trade-off you're going to have to make, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see it changed a bit down the line. We've seen characters get more mount options in response to community requests before.

@@astromancer9819 Graphically, yeah! Check out some of the conversion minis people did, of Khorne Lords riding them! Sweet! I didnt play 8th edition, I played from 1992-2008 and stopped in 7th edition because I didnt like the direction they were taking things...And in ALL THAT TIME Chaos Lords could take a chaos steed, a daemonic mount of their patron God, a Chimera, or a Chaos dragon, whether they were undivided or marked didnt matter. And I REALLY hope it doesnt matter here. So I hope people speak up on this while there is still time for them to fix this issue. It would be a minor fix, but it would be a major problem.....Once people start playing, and see their beloved Manticores or Dragons go out the window with a mark, THEN they would probably start speaking out about it. I just happened to notice it here in these early access screenshots. They really dont even need to be reskins....But they DO need to be there for all Chaos Lords and Heroes. LOL A mark wouldnt make them forget how to ride these beasts, or give up a steed they risked their lives to break either...So the move doesnt make sense from either a gameplay or lore perspective as it is.

@@SleepyFen Losing 2 awesome flying mounts for a small stat buff and one Deamon mount isn't a good trade off at all. Its not TT OR Lore friendly either. Chaos Lords are supposed to retain those mount options and ADD the third with the mark as an option. Not trade two for one. I am really hoping this is an early access oversight, but mark my words- If it IS the way they are going with it, after the hype buzz settles down a bit people are going to be very unhappy in this change. The cosmetics are cool, but overall your trading in superior mount options for a cooler looking Lord that has far fewer and less versatile options. We need to point it out to CA while its still early enough for them to catch.

The writing is improved, I can give it that much. The issue I have is: why does this even need a narrator? It's supposedly a Lets Play video, but there's hardly any gameplay; it's pure marketing BS of the same kind CA was criticised for when they were faking gameplay for Rome 2.
