I love the Gnoblar in the Parrot outfit on the Pirate Ogre´s shoulder. He stands up there as if he is saying "I´m doing my part, stop complaining!"

I physically put my phone down and started clapping when I saw how many views this channel is getting over the past few days/weeks. Too many warhammer channels are completely dead now, but were popular with their awesome lore videos 1-3 years ago. I just stumbled upon this channel right now, and I’m happy to see that even though it released awesome lore videos back a couple years ago, it’s not actually dead today and is doing well!!!

Gnoblars may be trash, but Gnoblar Trappers should make it in too as a skirmish unit. Their missile weapon is called sharp stuff haha

There are so many tidbits of Ogre lore i never knew. I have always assumed they woudl be in game 3, but i love hearing you both tell the deepest loresecrets, and flesh out the mechanics so well!

Still got my tabletop army of ogres led by the great goldtoof himself sitting in my cabinet so cannot wait to see them in game. Hopefully CA can do them justice.

Honestly one of my favorite factions from fantasy. I just love the idea of hordes of ogres stomping around and eating everything in sight. Can't wait to see them enter total war and I am interested in how they are going to balance this faction out.

July 2021 here...Ogres made into Warhammer 2... Its like they felt this video was a challenge to them....

I have my little, non-canon fan theory from years ago when Great Maw first appeared in the lore, that it's in fact C'tan/C'tan shard from Warhammer 40k. Everything fits, obsession of eating souls, matter and energy, controlling weaker minds, and near immortal shell, without being spiritual entity ofc it's just another incantation of Gorkamorka in Age of Sigmar, but I liked my theory ;)

I was waiting so long for this video that you have no idea. The ogres are one of my favourite factions in the game, they are just so fascinating to me.

Your interpretation of Ogre Charge sounds excellent, and would be needed to make sure that Ogres aren't just used like a cavalry army. They're suppose to wade into battle, not skirt around like horses. Although I know some cycle charging is done with monstrous infantry as well, if they're fast enough (like the Trolls and Werekin). If CA does go with a simple leadership-charge buff, then hopefully a lot of the Ogres will have Rampage to help discourage death star plays.

Chaos dwarfs would still be the most intriguing addition since they were barerly around on table-top (but I’ve seen the impressive Forge Worlds creations) but yes I’m looking forward to Ogre Kingdoms, they will be utterly brutal

I am so pumped for the oger kingdoms, they will if done well be so different from all the other factions which to me is THE thing that Warhammer total war dose better then all other total war games in my opinion. Can't wait for a while race of big burly men :) also great video keep it up

I cannot wait to see the ogre kingdoms in action in warhammer 3. As my favorite faction in warhammer fantasy I can't wait to go all out and all in with a thematic army. Example: if hunters are allowed to be a lord choice I'd send them in with a whole bunch of gnoblar trappers, mourn fang cavalry and Sabre tusks. If my lord is a tyrant or a butcher I'd send them in with a bunch of bulls, iron guts, gorgers, lead belchers and a few stacks of gnoblars and gnoblar siege weapons like the Iron blaster or the scrap launcher.

Nice Video, I hope the next lore ,army and tactics video cover the remaining chaos gods. Particularly Nurgle, he is my favorite chaos god and the one I would serve.I can’t wait to command my legions of Plaguebearers and Putrid Blightkings with other daemons, warriors and Monsters of a Nurgle, and leading them with my Great Unclean Ones; Daemon Princes and for my legendary lord to be Either Ku’Gath Plaguefather for Daemons or the Glottkin for warriors since they are a better choice than Festus the Leechlord. Yes I know the Glottkin are end times content but I love their story and model and are of my top five requested legendary lords I want to see in the Trilogy. Indeed I love the nurgle models from the end times: Glottkin, Gutrot Spume, Maggoth Lords and Putrid Blight kings and hope they are added in game 3 either in the base game DLC/FLC. I can’t wait to lead the legions of the Plague Lord to destroy The empire and conquer Altdorf and Later with the world with the gifts of Good old Papa Nurgle. All Hail Grandfather Nurgle

and again you make my day with one of your amazing lore vids! played the table top back in the day with my best mate and he recommended your channel to me a few weeks ago. binge-watched the whole twwh2 playlist these past days and it really takes me back! so first: big thanks for that man keep up the good work and may ze lady bless your efforts! 👍 and second: never played a tw game before but I'm really tempted to get the warhammer games. is it a good choice to start with them or would you recommend trying out one of the other tw titles first to kinda get my feet wet first?

I'm a casual fan of the Warhammer fantasy setting and I'm really gravitating to the ogres. They're anti villains. They aren't inherently evil, they're doing what they believe to be right and fuck anyone who gets in their way, it's a theme and trope I tend to enjoy. The in engine trailer for ogres makes so much more sense now. There's a line where the voice over ogre says, "Do you have the guts to be a tyrant? Rippin' em limb from limb." Like you said their guts and their stomach specifically mean so much to them, if you have "the guts" then you have everything. Also, a tyrant to them basically means "big strong leader", someone other ogres would follow into battle. It just made that whole video a lot more meaningful, it really heightened the immersion when I understood some lore of the ogres.

Nice! I was about to ask when you might do an Ogre Kingdoms video. Personally, I can't wait to play the Chaos Dwarfs. Their my favorite faction and should to a really fun army to play. But the Ogres look like an intriguing rush faction. ...as usual kudos for the excellent work!

only my opinion: since nurgle is the god that use and thrive in despair and abandon, I think its more than plausible that this meteorite was corrupted by the grandfather of the plague. this would explain the big green smile in the sky. since the old ones left this race unfinished at a scale of a planet, its like a 5 service meal for nurgle. Again, just my opinion (Hard core old school warhammer fantasy fan here) love your videos btw!

If Ghark Ironskin comes around, I hope CA uses him as an opportunity to introduce a new Rhinox model. One that won’t just look like a Mournfang with a different head. Or at least I hope they make his mechanical mount totally unique. More like that old miniature; it looks distinct from the Juggernauts of Khorne.

Watching this after all the Vampire Coast info we have learned - 39:16 - 40:00 "both a horde and a settlement which sounds OP" which is exactly what we got with the Vampirates. I'm curious to see how much you got right in this video when Ogre Kingdoms finally come out =)

Little late to the party, but they could have a cool campaign mechanic. This mechanic could be called "Feast" or something and could work as follows: Ogre units would have an even higher upkeep than normal, but when one or more Ogre armies are victorious in battle and/or raze a town, this activates "Feast" which gives a temporary discount to the upkeep cost of every army that was present (ie. eating the dead and captured). This way players are punished more for sitting around, and need to keep migrating to new lands and fighting to sustain their forces. "An army marches on its stomach"

I would like to see Dogs of War for TWW 3 Mortal Empires equivalent. However I don't think they will work as a separate faction. But they would totally work as units you can hire as (almost) any faction. Throw in some mechanics like leadership penalties when your income is in the negative and you're good.

I wonder what would happen if Sky Titans managed to build a new home elsewhere and not devolve into the lesser giants, or if the Sky Titans managed to unite and drive back the Ogres. Perhaps this would change the way the Sky Titans would run their society!

It's good that you're picking up the slack where Arch warhammer (who was never that great to begin with) has now given up on.

1:00:03 You wouldn't have to go that far with it, they could just have a few variants like "Man-eaters of The Empire," "Man-eaters of Cathay," "Man-eaters of Bretonnia," "Araby," ect with different abilities and models. I think that would be good for the lore and not require so much effort for one unit
