Unbiased? GIVE ME THE A-6 INTRUDER YOU COWARDS! What plane are you looking forward to next in War Thunder?! Here is the full unedited gameplay video for more of the plane and the new map! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rxh2pdaFLZU.html
You know, Grumman had actually wanted to put the general electic f110 engines at first but the navy declined because the engines were new and untested, so they put the tf30s in, which were used for the f-111's, which is why the A's had so many engine problems; they were using an engine not even designed for that plane.
@@MongooseTacticool Six aviators have been killed in the 31 F-14 crashes blamed on unrecoverable spins, the Navy said. Official info from Navy in 1993. That engine was a real mess.
Your AIM-54 Pheonixs where missing because the Phoenix was designed to be fired at an effective range of up to around 45 miles(at least this is where I fire most Pheonixs in DCS), the Phoenix can’t turn to save its life because of this, especially when it’s engine is running, at two KM you probably should be shooting Sparrow or Sidewinder missiles
War thunder just didn't model the phoenix correctly. It can't go past mach 2 even at altitude and it tracks like a sparrow. DCS did it way better, but this stuff is subject to change. Knowing gaijin, probably won't fix it. Heck, you can't even lock targets past around 24km due to game rendering.
(Revised) Here's a neat fact: F-14B made the same amount of thrust in MIL power than what the F-14A made in afterburner 2 (6 total modes for afterburner). F-14A pilots had to get used to this because when they were on the cat of the aircraft carrier about to get shot off the end, they had to go to throttle up to MIL power and do their flight control checks, then they would go into AB 2 for their cat shot and once they were off the deck and in the air, they would throttle further up into AB 6 to do their climb out.
5:09, I believe this happened because of the phoenix being a FOX-3 missile, the on-board radar must of "seen" that contact first and decided to home onto that. It's interesting to see how Gaijin decides to implement this because in the simplest terms possible, a FOX-3 is just a radar guided FOX-2 (i.e if something goes in-front if a FOX-3, regardless if it's locked by the missile's mothership, it can go after that aircraft instead of the intended target.) It looks like furballs just got a whole lot worse.
The AIM54 is an odd combination of Fox 1 and Fox 3. It can be launched active off the rail or guided by the AWG9 to the target, where the system commands the missiles to go actively at a set time before impact.
@@MongooseTacticool That's how the Active AAMs or Fox3's work, all of them go Pitbull or Active at a certain range from the target. Before they work on internal navigation system with mid-course updates. They can be launched active of the Rail as Maddog if necessary, Maddog, because it goes for the first target it sees. And the same happens if it goes active as planned on a normal launch, but since you usually lob it at a group of enemies without friendlies in the vicinity that doesn't matter. If there are, well let's hope they are not the first thing the seekerhead sees. One of the things we learned in Falcon BMS, back in 4.32 (aka 2011?) is to never chuck AMRAAMs into a Furball, for that very reason. As for around 10:00.....Inside minimum range....
Phoenix on the dev server only pull 16g so they aren't for any shots below 5km to be honest, at least with anything that's maneuvering or side aspect shots. Try chucking those things from like 30 kilometers out at altitude.
@@XolarPoweredHistory21 yeah i also use right click as (hold) zoom for ground/air forces, z is a toggle and a default binding, that's why i mentioned it
The missals have their own radar and the radar can lock on to multiple targets in a specific mode. So if the missile is close enough and you loose lock, the missile could stay on the correct target.
Also, compressor stall I don't think is modeled in any way in the game at this time. edit: the BR range should be SO MUCH LARGER for these planes. We need 13-14.0 BR brackets or a division based on era or capabilities.
You have the new engines, your exhaust tips are silver not black, the F14A with the prats had black tips, and once they were upgraded to the GEs they were silver
Other way around RIO was strictly a navy term and WSO was for the airforce. After the intro of the hornet I think both now use WSO for the two seater variants.
@@TomBlatildush you certainly should it's one of the best Vietnam movies ever. It's up there with platoon and full metal jacket only it's about an aircraft carrier group and two pilots. I don't want to spoil it for you so I'll leave it at that but it is definitely worth your time.
Might be because he launched them so close I'd assume 20k-40km shots your radar still needs to guide it. Not sure how gaining modeled it exactly so can't say for sure
This is the dev server Dev servers are very commonly do not have off like characteristics modeled as they use it more hype tool than a testing tool you see it time and time again every dev server the dev flight model is never the release flight model sometimes is more obvious than others such as in the case of the f9f cougar and some are more subtle but they are never finished
You suppose to put your wing in bombing mode. IMMERSION LOST. I would suggest to try it in DCS . With the trial program. F14 f16 and a10 are my 3 favourite plane in DCS. F14 did survive a air to air collision irl
What kind of pilot are you? Are you pilot for airlines or a fighter or bomber pilot, maybe a cargo pilot or helicopter pilot? What and in wich category of pilot are you?
Positive g make you heavy 1 g is standing on earth 0 g is weightless negative g make you very light. Positive better than negative for planes + pilots. Positive g makes blood go away from brain making you go unconscious gravitational loss of consciousness (g loc) other makes all blood go into brain which is significantly worse. Don’t know why I’m barely a pilot and definitely not a doctor
Negative G's are inverted so like going into a fast dive that's gonna a pull like 1 maybe 2 negative G's. So negative G's are the same thing but only when diving or pulling down in the plane.
Yeah I thought that too. But if they were going to do a pack they’d probably be accepting preorders for it. Perhaps it will just be the F-14A for now and a more modern f-14 will come out in the future. Or maybe there will be some sort of Top Gun pack that they just haven’t announced yet
I know a lot of people are really excited about the F-14 being added but Its a pretty stupid idea. It's significantly more advanced than anything else in the game and needs debuffs for it to be put into battles, it was probably added due to hype, With the new Top Gun coming out everyone will want to try it out and the snail probably sees it as an opportunity to get a lot of new players and money. But at it's BR it will completely annihilate everything else in the game it's in. As a 10.0 player who mains the F104A In any uptiered I will usually be the first target due to the AAM'S insane range and without RWR or flares this plane being added will completely screw me over and anyone else who has a harrier or F104. Due to the rest of the de-buffs they may add it will either be pitiful, like they limit the only thing, it'll be like seeing a A-10 in 11.0, or will kill everything if they actually put the plane in the game with minimum de-buffs.
I doubt they'll ever do the A-6 because it never carried gun pods and Gaijin would be worried no one would buy it. They already tried the no guns thing with that one British jet and it tanked.
Nodak is in the content creator program, meaning they can request test drives for vehicles within limits, and gets a ridiculous amount of GE to speed up grinding and the like. They could even ask for something removed to borrow for two weeks to make a video on, such as the 109Z (though that one has just come back) or the Buccaneer S1.
