Fahrenheit is my favorite Toto album. I think it's perfect from start to end. Love the instrumental last song, a very unique song for Toto. And the first Toto album is also a great classic. Hold The Line is just full of nostalgia, takes me right back to the 80's even though it's from the 70's ha ha. All the 7 first Toto albums are classics. Great music.
Toto’s back catalogue has been handled so well. The original masterings were still current and available until very recently, the 2018 remasters are very listenable (and a couple of albums even sound better), audiophile pressings and SACDs for some albums, affordable CD box sets and no bullshit bonus tracks nobody wants to listen to. Compare this to other bands on CBS and we’re being practically spoiled. Judas Priest, take note. Hunting down 80s CDs with no booklets or paying 3 figures for a box set just to get a passable listening experience is not acceptable.
This box is coming my way these days. I´m looking forward to that. Always loved Toto, and have their 7 first albums on vinyl. Now I am slowly shifting from vinyls to cds. The vinyls is getting far too expensive and the quality is far beyond acceptable.
You’ll love it. The B sides album XX is excellent. I love the tracks on that. The sound quality is great too. They’re an amazing band and Jeff was an incredible drummer. Yes, modern pressings are pretty poor and too expensive. I’ve a big vinyl collection but it’s all CDs now for me, especially the 80s/90s pressings. The CD sounds great, hassle free and you can tape it, rip it to media player and copy it, while keeping the original safe in your vault.
That’s correct, two non-Columbia albums. I love XX the rarities album. To be honest I only really like the Porcaro stuff he was such an awesome drummer. Simon Philips is also one of my favourite drummers. Top class music by top class musicians. Kingdom Of Desire is one in particular I didn’t enjoy. It’s to rock oriented or something.
@@KRAZEEIZATION Yes, XX sounds amazing to me it's like a one of the best Toto albums and it's really like a big and proper album nothing like the rarities. I see why there is no two missing albums. Kingdom of Desire atmosphere is a little different but How many times and 2 Hearts still rocks.
@@TheKlimekpl I must revisit it! Lol! But XX was originally issued in 1998 for the bands 20th anniversary. Going Home is great, fantastic chorus. Tale Of A Man is a Lukather guitar showcase. Amazing drums on that too. Right Part Of Me is excellent! The original had 2 extra live tracks not on this boxed version! There’s a live 1993 album with Philips on drums too that’s worth getting.
@@KRAZEEIZATION I plan to buy these two missing albums Falling in Between and XIV in digipack to fit All in but first i have to finish my Pet Shop Boys collection two more albums to full discography. Pet Shop Boys will be first band which i will have all cds, Toto will be second.
@@TheKlimekpl Ha! I love PSB too. I’ve all the albums on CD I’d say, even Battleship Potemkin which is credited to Tennent/Lowe. I’ve all the deluxe editions and b side compilations. All the main studio albums on vinyl too. I’ve the videos on my channel.
